Rock-N-Rollercoaster

This was my first coaster, and I find it stunning, a masterpiece even. Who has ridden Rock-N-Rollercoaster. How did you feel about it? I think that it is one of the most underrated rides in the industry

Great launch, great music, minimal intensity and a short ride. Overall not a top notch coaster in my book but very fun and re-rideable.
I think it's an amazing coaster (especially the launch)

Yes, it not the most thrilling ride, nor is it the fastest or tallest. In fact, without the theming, the ride would be extremely boring, IMO.

Actually, I think it was fairly intense. Then again, I was early in my coaster-riding career at the time. Who knows, but that launch was just SICK!

Yeah, I think it is a good ride.  I thought the launch was good and the theming was cool too(though a little tacky).  When I rode it, I went around to all of the Orlando parks and about two days later went to IOA and the launch of Hulk is way better.  I like a zero-g roll after a launch rather than a vertical loop.  Plus I like the uphill launch.  But the Rock 'n' Roller coaster does have the awesome music.

Is rockin rollercoaster just a clone of FOF and JJ? I know it has a different theme but is it the same design? Is there head banging? Are there lapbars? sorry about theall the questions but I am going in 3 weeks and I am wondering if it is worth it to go to MGM

SFDL NEEDS A GOOD EXPANSION!!!!!!!
MGM is worth it to go simply for Tower of Terror alone!  RnRC is an excellent ride.  It's not a premier spaghetti bowl, but rather a very smooth Vekoma spaghetti bowl.  It's atually the smoothest Vekoma I've been on (Besides X-Flight).  It uses OTS restraints, but the ride is simply amazing.  How could a ride not be good when you have a huge subwoofer right underneath your butt?  5 speakers per person.  It's great!

If you see me running, try and keep up!

This may just be the absolute obsession/love I have for Disney talking, but MGM is DEFINITELY worth it.  Of all the Disney parks, MGM definitely appeals most to the action lover and, thus, the thrill ride enthusiast.  The rides aren't nearly as exciting as those at, say, a Six Flags or Cedar Fair park, but the Disney magic is there, and that certainly makes up for the lower "crap your pants" factor.

Coaster131 is right though: The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror alone is worth the price of admission.  I'd suggest hitting that ride early and often, along with the RnRC because of their close proximity.  Of course, the park also features lower key offerings like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: Play It! (lots of fun if you manage to not wait too long...i.e. use FastPass), the Backlot Tour, great shows like the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, and of course, the two aforementioned fabulous thrill rides.

That, my friend, was the Disney lover's long-response answer.

Short response: yes, it's worth going.  End of story.

It was a was like FOF(with the OTRS) without all of the headbanging, only in this one you got to listen to one of the greatest rock bands of all time, AEROSMITH.

MF Rules: No.  RnR is Vekoma, Mad Cobra's (FOF and JJ) are premier.  If you want to see the layout a clone exists here:http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery769.htm

Edit:  Hmm..upon closer inspection they don't seem to be clones, but I heard they were.  Anyone shed light on this?  I've never been on either.

Rock N Roller Coaster is another great themed experience as only Disney(oh, and Universal) can do. I thought the effects, billboard signs, etc. inside were extremely well done The launch I felt was more nerve-racking waiting for that the Hulk, because you're waiting for that sign to say that its time for you to hit to freeway and the darkness, mood, and music throughout made for a fantastic ride. I would say its a top-notch themed thrill ride, which IMO, has a lot more meaning than just top-notch coaster.

And Disney Studios is more than worth your time. Not a big park for thrills like IOA and BGT, but still has its fair share of incredible amusements. I think the Studio Tour Tram ride alone is worth the price of admission. But that's just me and my Disney insanity. :)

It's not my favorite coaster (I like intensity), but it's like people above said: It's a good ride that has become great due to the attention to theming. The launch is good, but having already been on The Chiller, it's not as incredible to me (the Chiller's launch is much harder out of the gate). On the other hand, I think it's a *better* launch because it's smoother and more acceptable to the general audiences Disney caters to.

I love Disney's and Universal's attention to details, and MGM is the better park of the whole DisneyWorld location for thrill and action seekers. Add me to the chorus of Twilight Zone fans. The entire experience is just so immersive, I was floored. Understand: I'm afraid of heights! (That hasn't stopped me from enjoying the thrill rides, though :) ). The real icing on the cake for me is the mechanics of the ride. It's absolutely incredible and the geek in me was fascinated by some of the behind the scenes info I've been slowly reading through.
