Robocoaster----Any Fun??

I'm going to wisconsin dells on the last weekend of July and they have a robocoaster their. I have seen pic and some video and they look really fun. Have any of you ever ridden one? Are they any fun? Personally I think they look like a blast but we'll see.

It was a pretty cool ride. i didn't think the movements were nearly as *unanticipatable* (?) as the manufacturer (Kuka Robotics) suggested. It *was* fun, and not jerky at all....but for the 500K pricetag, I thought a capacity of 24-32 riders per hour meant you wouldn't see it outside the upcharge arena. Theny LegoLand (first Billund, then CA) proved me wrong, LOL.

Fun? Sure. Earthshattering? Not in my book.

The only upcharges to really "blow me away" thus far? Skyscraper, Slingshot...I might've been able to add the S&S AbsolutelyInsane (no connection to www.AbsolutelyReliable.com AFAIK) to the list, but the one at Frontier City, which was NOT upcharged, ran the TAMEST of the programs, and wasn't adjustable...

They had one at cj barrymors here in michigan, but it is now gone. I did not get the chance to ride it before it was taken out.

From what I heard, the capacity of the ride was a big problem.

Oh nevermind. I was thinking of another Robocoaster. ;-)

They seem like they would be entertaining, but setting them up near eachother like at Legoland probably makes them more fun. The water effects combined with the impressive sight of multiple arms flailing about surely improves the experience.

I think if a park were to buy some of these, and sync them to music and special effects, it would make a pretty cool ride experience.
