This is my home park and it doesn't suprise me a bit looking at some of the thugs who regularly attend the park, especially from Southeast DC. I know where the building they talk about is and I'm in agreement that someone on the inside helped out as most of the general public wouldn't know where this building is. It seems crazy to me to have that much cash lying around. Must of been a good weekend. I hope we can still get our new coaster next year:)
That is nuts to have that much money there, I would understand if it were like there at the end of the day, but not in the morning! I agree to though it almost had to be someone on the inside because they had to know the park very well.
It is definitely an inside job just like I said before. What puzzles me is this is probably the money that is distributed throughout the park to make change for purchases. Money like this should be heavily guarded for the reason of a possible robbery so obviously it was a tip from an employee to some associates to rob it at a certain time when it is the easiest to take. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure this out.
Why would they keep so much MONEY at the park. They should keep it at a bank, I definitely know it was a inside job. If it wasnt, then they would probably not find that much $$$$$$!!
They have to keep currency at the park because banks in this area do not open until 9. That does not leave enough time to go and get the currency and then distribute it throughout the park, including the parking booths that are already open at 9. As far as someone from Southeast D.C being a suspect, how do you know it wasn't your neihbor. Sounds to me as though you are discriminating against people from that part of the city. Mayor williams lives in S.E. too, maybe he did it!

I know that Geauga Lake now SFO was considered its own bank because the coin rolls and bill raps would state that on them. Periodically in the morning a brinks truck would be seen outside the park collecting the excess. The park still needs to keep quite a bit of change on hand though because of all the change they need to make. This was probably a tip off from somebody who works in the cash control office.
As for the question of who the robbers are, your right I don't know they were from SE or DC. I'll admit I'm using this event as an excuse to talk about the thugs that are ruining the park. I'm tired of the ignorant, line-cutting, can't speak a sentence without using foul language, deface everything people. You can change the name of the park twice, but the bad element still remains.

Wouldnt they need to keep money at the park so they can stash it in the shops for casheir change, etc.?
I said that above. I imagine that most parks only have a pickup once or twice a week. I am surprised that there was only $300,000 taken. These parks make a crap load of money.
