Rob Alvey Videos

Are they worth buying, how long is it, and are the complete POVs good or shaky?

(1. YES, YES, and YES. This is the most you can get for the least money, and its definitely my favorite set of coaster vids, even though its 'amature' ;)

(2. Not sure exactly how long, I think both tapes are a little over an hour.

(3. POVs are very good; Robb handles the camera well.

I just got them a couple weeks ago, OMG!!!! They are so good. The povs are usually always a complete Pov from the point of the crest of the lift hill to the brake run, and they are a tad bit shaky, but not too much. There are usually a couple off ride shots of each coaster as well. That is "Robb Alvey's Coaster Footage 2001".

As far as "Robb Alvey's coaster season", that is okay, but doesn't feature near as much POV footage and does have some points were him and his wife and friends will cut in for like two seconds to say a couple words.

If oyu like amusment parks as well as coasters, buy both. If you just like coasters, buy the coaster one. Either way, well worth the money.

Robb's vids are great! I got mine a few months ago and I love them! They are definitley worth the money and I was very suprised on how good the quality is. The POV's aren't shaky at all and very clear! Hope you get um soon and enjoy!

Six Flags Marine World..... Wild Life AND Wild Rides!

I bought both videos months ago, and i LOVE them both. You should definitely pay the $15 to get both videos. The season is great, i've watched it 20+ times, and the footage video is amazing, not shaky. Robb Alvey's tapes are masterpieces, and well worth the money. You'd be foolish not to buy them. Great Job Robb, can't wait to see next year's tapes.

I forgot, the season tape is 1 hr, and 20 minutes.

The footage tape is 1 hr.

Buy them, today!

Definetly get them. I actually find the Coaster Season video more entertaining than the Raw Footage. I pop it in every time I'm sitting around with nothing to do. So far, as of earlier today I've watched it 39 times lol. I really have to much time on my hands and not a big selection of coaster movies!

I went to Sandusky, but there was no Callahan factory

Can I get Rob Alvey Web address so I can get his videos?

Or post it on this site.

www.themeparkreview.com is Robb Alveys' website.I ordered the 2001 videos about a week ago.I have shamelessly watched his 1999 video countless times and have been told his 2001 videos are even better! It is the next best thing to riding as I live in one of the most coaster deficient areas in the nation.CCI,please come build something in Oregon or Washington!

Robb did a tremendous job with editing and music! I suggest getting both for the reasonable price of $15! Plus, you can't go wrong with his honor system. A great way to get through the off season, or even during the week between park visits! :)

Model coasters and rides
I've ordered them about a week ago now. I'm looking very forward to seeing them.

Does Rob confirm e-mails? 'Cause I haven't heard or seen anything yet...

CoastaPlaya,Robb hasn't confirmed my e-mail yet either.I keep checking my mailbox in hopes that the tapes show up.

Great photo of you and your daughter in your profile,CoastaPlaya! I know who your riding partner is going to be when they get a little older.I have a grand daughter who is about the same age.I have taken her on some kiddy coasters. While the kiddy coasters aren't much of a thrill for me,the joy and laughter that comes over her while riding is my thrill. She usually says at the end of the ride"Papa, lets' go again!"

I, too, have ordered both videos and watched them many times. The Coaster Footage is worth it, but just offride and POVs themed to music. The Coaster Season, however, is the most entertaining hour of parks+coasters+music you can buy. You'll always see something new. Both are definite buys.

My two favorite coasters are named Superman.

I just got my videos in the mail today,I was not disapointed.Great job,Robb!

Did somebody say something about cameras being on rides AGAIN? I didn't think so. It must've been my imagination.

Actually, that's an old photo. CoastaMidget is 5 years old now and I'm not sure if she's over 46" or inching dangerously close to 48". She just boarded her first looper (BGT's Scorpion) three weeks ago.

But she'll be her mommie's riding partner. Her big sister (CoastaBaby) has always been my partner since she was 2 1/2. During the same said trip, she boarded her first 3 B&Ms. What a trip.

I didn't think it was his wife?

Robb's videos are very good. They're shot w/ a Digital Video camera. But after watching it the first time, I have to have my own music playing now. ;) I guess I'm too old to enjoy a lot of the music used. I can't get that cheezy Around The World (La La La La La) by ATC (so I was told by my girlfriend's 11yo daughter) song out of my head. Seems I remember a Britany Spears song too. Yes, some of the music kind of fits the ride in a small way. But so does mine. :)

It isn't. ding ding.,

But who cares? The "Coaster Season" video has always been about *family* and *friends* rather than just POV and shots of coasters. The new one for this past season was for the POV, and I hear it's good, even though I have no copy of it. I do, however, have a copy of "Coaster Season" and would recommend it to anyone. My recommendation is even on Robb's webpage! I make an appearance in the video for about 2 seconds total in the CP segment, in uniform working on Mine Ride! Single-train operation ahoy!
