Road that goes behind Whalom Park

My family visited my grandparents for Easter who live 5 minutes away from Whalom Park. As a kid I went there every year. I loved that park. I never knew about the road that goes right by Whalom Lake and directly behind the park. I took a detour around the back of the park and I saw the destruction on the ballroom. It was hard to look at it first hand because of all the great memories I got from that park. It was right next to The Flyer Comet. I never seen this view of the park and it looks so helpless with the SBNO Comet and the burnt down ballroom. It was quite a site to see. I really hope the ballroom can get repaired and the park reopened. It would be an absolute shame to have this park destroyed.

I believe that there are a number of rides still in the park. They could very well be sold and just waiting to be picked up though.

The sign structure (which I've heard was part of an old circle swing) was sold to a farmer for use as a windmill.
