Riverside Cyclone's First Drop

Has the first drop on this coaster been modified, and what is your overall opinion of this coaster?

yes it has, But it has improved its now faster smoother [the whole ride is faster also]. You should ride it some time.

I loved it!! The back is great!! Awesome airtime in the back but a lot rougher type of airtime!

the ride has been castrated. yes theres still slight air in the back, but its nothing compared to how it was. the cyclone is faster because of the PTC trains, and its not smoother except the first drop which wasnt bad to begin with. its still a fun ride though.

i have rideen the ride throughout all th changes and i have to say that the "improvemnets" have toned the beast down. I found it to be much better when it wasn't toned down, it was probably one of the most intense wooden coasters. but it is still a great ride, and probaly a better ride for the GP.

They tamed the first drop but it still can be an intense ride especially late in the day. I never really loved the coaster, the last couple of years, but now it's a little bit more re-rideable.
