Riverland Park in Sterling Heights, MI

In the Saturday Detroit News there was an article about Riverland park. I was unaware that this park even existed. Does anybody have information about this park and if it's open more than just Aug. 22. Because this looks like it will be the parks last year of operation.

If you don't like the ride shut up and get out of line.

I don't think it is open to the public. I'm pretty sure they only rent it out for kids parties etc. I drive by it once in awhile, but have never stopped to get the whole story. They had a website but it does not seem to exist anymore. They do have 1 kiddie coaster. That's all I know.

It is open to the public on saturdays(at least is was last year) to the public. I know rick and his wife, they are great people.

Rick also owns several amusement rides that are portable and sets them up at festivals and events.

It would be a shame to see riverland taken away for yet anether strip mall or rite aid. I remember going on the rides there when I was a little kid, and again a few years ago when we set up our haunted house at riverland. The park is not large by no means, the rides consists of this....

carasel

elie wheel

kiddie coaster

kiddie ferris wheel

whip

swing ride

rocket ships

car ride

anether kiddy flat(not sure of type)

minniture golf course

The park also has a water wars game, arcade, concessions, and and picnic pavilion.

I hope this info will help.
