Rights for Spiderman?

The Spiderman ride at IOA is a UNIVERSAL STUDIOS product, while Spider-man The Movie is to be releases by Columbia pictures.  What's with that?

Spiderman is a Marvel comics property but they can lease the name out to who they seem fit to.

Universal didn't have all of the character power that Disney had, so they did the next best thing. They went out and licensed several characters, notably, Marvel Heroes & Suess as one of the biggest. This worked out well for them. Part of that "Billion" dollar park
