Ride/Park mentions in Entertainment Weekly

Entertainment Weekly magazine has just started a new mini-feature called the "Cash Register" and this week's issue is the second time I've seen a ride or park mentioned in this section. A few weeks ago they had something about Six Flags Astroworld and how much it costs for a general admission ticket to ride the new SWAT thrill ride.

Now, for those who have a sudden urge to collect every single item or word typed about Top Thrill Dragster, the latest issue of the magazine is for you! To find it: The issue (#710- May 16, 2003) features The Matrix Reloaded on the cover and on page 16 you'll find the phrase about the coaster in the "Cash Register", which says, "Top Thrill Dragster Cost per vertical foot to construct the world's tallest roller coaster at Ohio's Cedar Point amusement park." The answer they give is "$59,523.81". In addition, you will find the lovely Toyota Corolla ad with the yellow looping coaster on the back.

I'll keep looking for more mentions in the future and I bet the guy who writes this is somewhat of an enthusiast. ;)

There was also an atricle in Consumers Digest... Yup, they were rating parks. Guess what the parks had the highest rating? Disney, Disney and Disney, what a surprise...
