Ride Rotation Fantasy League

Is it the offseason yet?

Robocoaster's thread on when the west coast will get a new flyer got me thinking: now that we're seeing the ride rotation program kick back into gear for more than one amusement park chain, what would be some of your fantasy blockbuster trades, so to speak?

Be creative, but keep it somewhat logical, i.e., nobody can get SFNE's Superman for a kiddie ride, ok?

For my first deal, I'll send Ninja from SFOG to SFKK, Joker's Jinx from SFA to SFOG, and SFA gets Great Adventure's GASM off waivers.

I now leave this thread to thrive, or die.

------------------
Ask about my references

I'll send The Flying Coaster from SFEG to PCW for a minor league player to be named later (or anything).
SFMM will trade "X'" to Holiday World in exchange for their employees and management. :)

Knott's will trade Xcelerator and La Revolucion for a Superman: Ultimate Flight clone (SFGAM or SFoG?).

------------------
The Trip: CP, SFWoA, PKI, KW, HW, IB, SFGAm, MiA and LeSourdsville too.
8 Days- 10 parks. May 2003

X-Flight (SFWoA) to PKI for Face/Off
Muy interesante!

-SFMW sends V2 (vertical) in exchange for Poltergiest.
-Send Viper (Of SFGadv) to Old Indiana
-Send retracked/retrained Shockwave (of SFgam) to Elitch (make room)

------------------
Lyrically, I'm supposed to represent
I'm not only a client, I'm the playa president!

3-way trade - Cedar Point retires Mean Streak...Picks up Holiday World's "Legend"...and HW gets HersheyPark's "Roller Soaker" for cash and a flat ride to be named later.

Conneaut Lake gets money to pay off all its debts. Idlewild gets Blue Streak. Kennywood gets Little Dipper. Compounce gets the Tumble Bug.

You didn't say contraction wasn't an option!

I will take that trade in a heartbeat to Six Flags Great America. Xcelerator is a much better ride than S:UF.

What I see is the necessity for Great America to unload there Deja Vu because of the "weather difficulties" that people claim it has. So I would trade Deja Vu to Six Flags St Louis for Mr. Freeze. Small coaster for small coaster, and Great America could use the slightly increased capacity.

No way id give away face/off not at this point anyway...... Specially not for x.
I would trade......

SFWoA

Villain for SFGAm's Viper
BKF for Raging Bull
Double Loop for SFGAm's Demon
Serial Thriller for SFNO's Batman: The Ride
Mind Eraser for PGA's Invertigo (Face/Off can stay at PKI)

CP

Mean Streak for Shivering Timbers
Disaster Transport for PKD's Avalanche
Wicked Twister for PKD's Volcano

PKI

Son of Beast for a new midsized GCI twister
Top Gun for Alpengeist

X Factor

To keep the expense of moving down, I'll stick with the Flags' west coast parks. First, send Kong from MW to WW/EV. Would the enthuisiast in me want this? NO! But the GP up here would go nuts over it, as we have no suspended / inverted coaster in the NW; that and they seem to like Wild Thing (which would go into storage for an indefinate period of time). Point being that headbanging is something people up here consider normal, so no harm no foul.

Bring Freefall from MM to MW to replace Kong. Not a fair trade, but MW needs some type of drop ride, so this is a start. MM could replace Freefall with any used flat from any number of manufacturers, because they need flats and need to be frugal for a while.

There, now all 3 parks have a new ride to tout...

---------------------------------
So long Stealth, don't forget to write...

Mean Streak for Shivering Timbers

You owe me $10 for a new keyboard thanks to pop spitting. I think not! ;)

MiA's Mad Mouse for CP's Wildcat

CP's Mean Streak (re-engineered while it is moved) for Big Chief's Zeus and Pegasus, which are transferred to MiA as their "new" major rides for the next 5 years, thus giving CP's cap expenditures a boost without harming MiA.

MiA's Wolverine Wildcat for Big Chief's Cyclops. GG is brought in to add the "missing" 2nd half of Cyclops, while WW is slightly modified to make it smoother.

MiA becomes the CCI capital of the world :)

Right now Silverwood and Holiday World are battling for that title. Edge to Silverwood thanks to CAC2003 in my eyes. Strong mention to Indiana Beach, but sadly CornBall has too much of a Michael Jordan role to play.

Magnum to Knotts, they may have to bridge a couple of streets and bend it a bit. Boomerang to CP to keep the count up.

Psychlone to Georgia for a ride with a very similar name. ;)

Montu at BGTB for X at SFMM, or for a really good mega coaster like Superman SNFE

Now this fantasy league thing, is this keeping the original theming or is this just the layout, while the theming can change?

I am one.

You owe me thirty bucks for my ergonomic keyboard!!! How is this trade fair to Big Chief? We get a piece of crap giant wooden coaster that won't get any better with any amount of reprofiling and a coaster I have never riden but have only heard bad things about. That in exchange for three very excellent CCI coasters? You must be smoking crack! :) :) :)

Having been on both, (Xcelerator tons of times), I'd agree that both are good rides. But I think its more a matter of what fits in each park. Knott's could really use A. a coaster which travels below the track and B. a coaster with a few inversions. S:Uf does both pretty well.

What Knott's hardly needs is another launched ride or another short ride. As much as I love Xcelerator, it is kind of redundant in the KBF coaster collection. I figure that S:UF would spice it up a bit. The only thing is that S:UF wouldn't fit in Xcelerator's current spot- in which case we can just rearrange that part of the Boardwalk midway.

On the other hand, GAm (a very good park) could use a nice launched coaster.

Seems like a good deal to me. :)

Not happening boblo, not on my watch, LOL....at least not until MY address moves to SoCal...;).

I see a lot of people making trades that seem AWFUL lopsided (of course, boblo's is right up there). But Montu, as much as I appreciate the ride for turning me into a raving lunatic, is nowhere *near* good enough to trade for X or for any of the RoSs. WW isn't even good enough o trade for Herc, ROFL....

As for the idea of X for HW's staff and mgt., even double-training with perfect reliability and performance isn't enough to bring SFMM that kind of return....;)

KickTheSky: Heh.... I think I deserved that :) You're right, it wasn't realistic.

Well it isnt really fair to Big Chief, and even though next year, technically both parks will be the same distance away with the new Milwaukee ferry service to Muskegon, I would hate to see Cyclops sent to a Cedar Fair park and trim braked to death.

Kicks The Sky: GhostRider and Shivering Timbers both run free of trims. What makes you think Cedar Fair would add trims to a CCI woodie? Mean Streak and Herculees (RIP) were trimmed to death because both of those rides are too big for their britches, also not CCI's.

Oh, and on topic... SFMM trades Psyclone for Wolverine Wildcat. Both are Summers Dinn smaller coasters that beat you up pretty good, at least each park would have a DIFFERENT form of wood coaster torture.
