Ride Reservations for Cedar Point

I have never been to the Point. Of course, i'm dying to go, but the lines seem a bit daunting. I want to be able to hit all of the major rides in one day, but with lines hitting 4 hours on some of the scream machines, how could it be done. I have talked to people who say the lines aren't nearly that bad and people who say they have done 3 rides in a whole day. That makes me wish that they had reservations. Now, i have heard the reasons why there are no reservations, so is it possible to do everything in 1 day?
Of course you can. Last year I went on a saturday in the middle of August. We hit all the rides in one day, and had multiple rides on Raptor, Magnum, Mantis, and about 8 rides on Gemini. Anyone who said they only did 3 rides in one day probably spent most of the day on a bench. Not many parks can handle crowds as well as The Point.

FloridaCoasterRider you just got LUCKY! I used to go there couple times a year, not no more, can't stand waiting in line anymore! LINES TOO LONG!!!

REDWINGS 2002!!
What do you mean by reservations?? Like Ticket to Ride or Fastpass, because THAT would suck if they started that. The lines are not that bad, MF was like and hour the whole day both times I went.

force.....I'm sure all the other lines were LONG..

REDWINGS 2002!!
Why would you think that?...Raptor and Magnum were 15 min.

Cedar Point gets the award for fastest moving lines at any park too, you may be forgeting.

Lines are not a big deal, save for Millennium Force and Raptor. Just be smart about what you ride. If you see a long line, go to the next ride. The longest line I've been in all year was The Force at an hour.

Try to go on a Sunday. The crowds are very light. Magnum was about 20 minutes. MF was a *measely* hour and fifteen minute wait. Raptor, in the middle of the afternoon, was a virutal walk-on. Note this was a sunny day in the 80's.

If Mantis is an hour long, I wouldn't reccomend waiting. That ride has bad capacity this year due to the 2 train operation. However that ride is a very good one, just not an hour wait.

What is the reason actually that they havn't used all 3 this year yet? The other one is wrapped up back in the transfer track.

The lines at Cedar Point really aren't all that bad. If you really want short lines then go during the last week of August. Most schools go back to session that week so there aren't too many people in the park.

The longest lines in the park are MF and Mantis. Really, all the other lines are pretty short. They're not as bad as people think:). You shouldn't have a problem getting on all the big rides in one day. I do it every time I'm there, with quite a bit of time to spare. Anyway, good luck, and have fun!

Jaredb,
Mantis did not have a problem loading and unloading until the seatbelts were put in. That's right, when Mantis first went up there were no seatbelts or trims on the hill. It was a very good ride. The crew also has to deal with just about everybody and their mother sitting down in their seats. It is a pain in the*****releasing row after row, but such are the perils of a standup!

One last thing, I can not remember there ever being a time when the lines at CP approached 4 hours. Especially this summer. The numbers have been down somewhat. Yesterday the line for MF was near 2 hours, but that was on a Saturday at the end of July. Most enthusiasts know better than to attempt to come here then. Do yourself a favor, if you are afraid of the lines, just come anyways. They are not going to get any better until the end of August and Halloweekends in Sept. & OCt.
On Joe Cool days I hit Millenium Force 6 times in 1 hour. Even Got to pick what seat I wanted.

Both times I've been to Cedar Point this year, the longest I stood in line was 1 hr. and 15 min. and that was for Millennium. I think Mantis is the only coaster that doesn't pump the people through quick on the coasters, it's the only line where you actually stop walking forward. (Each Time I Rode is seperated by /) Magnum was 0/0/10 minutes, Raptor was 0/0/30 minutes, Millennium 1 hr. 15/45/1 hr. 15/45 minutes, and practically everything else was walk ons....well except Mean Streak.

Monday 23 July, arrived shortly after the running of the Bulls (10:15am). Raptor 30min, Magnum 15min, Gemini 1 train wait for back seat, Woodstock 10min, Mean Streak 20min, MineTrain 2 train wait, Mantis 1+hour, Wildcat 15min, Millennium Force just under an hour first ride and around 45min for second, Cedar Downs walk on and finally Blue Streak 2 train wait for front seat. Left around 5:00pm. The order listed is the order I followed as far as I can remember.

Second ride on MF this cute ride OP is staring at me(actually my Tremors shirt) and I'm trying to place the face when the name tag provides the answer. Hey Natalie, I meant 'infamous' as a friendly jab.

Tremors, my 100th coaster.
Ghostrider, stopped counting laps at 100.
SROS208 - Its Easily Possible to Do all the Coasters in 1 Day, I even Done it when taking my First ever Trip to the park earlier this year and easily managed all Adult Coasters(excluding Jr Gemimi) in 1 Day, I even got Re-Rides on Most, Plus Rides on a few other things like the Pirate Ship,Power Tower and White Water Landing.

As for Lines, I didnt find then very long at all, Cedar Point had some of the fastest moving lines I had ever seen, and I have never seen a park to decided to capasity even the park isnt desperatly Busy(Magnum,Raptor,MF and Iron Dragon all ran superb 3 Train Operations, while all other coasters at least had 2 Trains Out) Power Tower was running all 4 Towers, The Log Ride has all Boats Out and So did the Rapids. The Longest Queue I experienced at the Point was of course MF at 50 mins, But I had many Walk On Rides on most rides including a few coasters.

So Dont be put off by reports of long lines at CP, They handle Crowds really Well, Of course Its always best to go on Weekdays though, Weekends can be Hell I have heard. If you do go to CP sometime, Enjoy It, Its a Great Park

July 18th and 19th, CP, longest line? Millennium Force. How Long? A Hour and 45 minutes. Second longest line? Raptor.
