Ride Ops that think they know it all?

Yesterday I was at Knoebel's Grove waiting for the Whirlwind. (Don't worry it was a one train wait, I could've gotten on but I wanted front seat.) I was telling my friends how it was just a short 1 minute and 20 seconds long, and just as I said that, the ride op goes: "Actually, Its only 48 seconds long." Knowing I was right, I timed the ride, and it was 1:20:14. I was tempted to tell her, but then I decided it wasn't worth my voice, its only a Vekoma Whirlwind. I was just curious as to if any of you have ever run into a ride op that thought they knew everything about their ride, but was wrong in the end. :-)

over 100 coasters in the works this year for me to ride... YES!

Think she might have been talking about from the top of the lift hill?

-----------------
Sorrrrrrrry folks! Parks closed. The moose out front should have told you.

Here's my question: Why do you have the ride time of the Whirlwind memorized?

"He's blazin' away like the stars in the universe.." A. Vega + M. Rev "Ghostrider"

Someday there will be something here.

She was probably thinking the same thing about you.
An Op at PKI on Backwards Racer got the launch speeds mixed up between FoF and Jokers Jynx. He didn't believe me until I stated all of the SoB facts. Then he was in awe. :)
Chris, I had a paper with the stats on it I'm not that crazy!
I overheard a ride op on Mind Eraser at SFEG say it goes 77mph, but I didn't feel like correcting her so I didn't say anything.

I eat glue.

The thing is, I do know everything, about SFOG anyway.

Richard, who is not cocky about his ride AT ALL....

Marimba, 1:20:14? Why are you carrying a stopwatch around an amusement park? I don't get it......Ohhhhhhhhhh.....now I do. You either have a Timex Marathon watch with "lap" timing OR the great 'ol Calculator watch from the 70's.

Being home on a Friday night (by choice) sometimes gets me in these moods. ; )

There's nothing like a woodie...

Gosh. Sometimes people surprise me. Other times they don't. This is almost as bad as the "how many ride-ops work at your homepark?" Jeez. Who really knows and who really cares.
Most people think they know it all, but we have calculated it that it adds up to about 6 %.
LOL Agent. I agree, most people who think they know so much really don't know a thing. What they don't know, they'll make up just to sound important.
Somewhere, out there, there is a Knoebel's ride op starting a "Park guests that think they know it all?" thread.
