Ride Incident - Big Sling at Ohio State Fair

The Big Sling, an ejection seat style ride at the Ohio State Fair suffered a broken cable Tuesday night. No one was hurt in the incident, however a teenage couple was left stranded up in the air.

Someone did submit news on this, but I decided not to post it because it really just seemed like a non-event. The redundant cables did what they were supposed to.

I too am concerned about carnival and fair ride safety...I wouldn't trust most of those carny workers to tie my shoes...Heck, most of them obviously don't know what end of the toothbrush to use! ;)

Now amusement and theme parks, on the other hand, I _DO_ trust.
