Has aybody rode one of these? How much did you pay? Was it worth it?

If FoF got that great of a makeover than why can't I?
I've ridden the Dragon's Wing at SFStL...it was $50, which is a ridiculous price. But when you have 3 people, it's only around $15 a piece, so that's what I did. It really wasn't worth quite that much money, but it was still great. Awesome freefall, just kind of boring after that.

Yes I have been on XLR8R three times. It is very expensive but well worth it. It is a little scary going up backwards, but the rest is fun!
Speaking of skycoasters, has anyone had trouble pulling the cord? It took me about fifteen seconds to get it to release!

There are currently 11 coasters with the name Batman, 8 with the name Superman and 22 with the name Boomerang. Batman and Superman: The Ultimate Chiller Knight Flight Krypton Escape Ride.
It was $50.00? I will agree, that is a ridiculous price!

I've been on Kennywood's Skycoaster, and loved it. It was $15 per "flyer" with three flyers on our trip. Personally, I don't think it was all that expensive for the thrill it gives, but it's only a once-a-season thing.

I've been on the Flycoaster on the Gold Coast. It's only 100ft tall but fun anyway. I rode it twice with a buddy for A$25 each (with a bogof coupon). It was well worth it, we actually freefell for about 20-30ft which is the best part. I didn't have trouble pulling the cord! :)
I's love to ride the 300ft tall Kissimee Skycoaster!

I've never ridden it, but the one at Indiana Beach looks horrifying! It's built right over the lake. I love to watch people ride it though...especially when they are screaming their heads off :)

Who was at BGW on April 28th.
I've ridden the Dragon's Wing at SFSTL. Like Raven_Rider said the Freefall is awesome but the rest is pretty boring after that. I was lucky enough to ride it FREE during an employee party. It's definitly worth a try if your willing to shell out the cash.
SFDL's is mad expensive, I hacn't ridden it yet.... 40$ single, 25$ per person double, 20$ per person triple... I would like to, but its too much $$$ IMO, id rather go to a different park and do it. I mean, isn't S:ROS good enough? :)

Alan, by all means, you have to ride a sky coaster. I rode Ripcord at CP and in my opinion, nothing comes close. I agree that the price seems high, but the sensation when you first pull the cord is intense. Give it a try sometime, you won't regret it.
I've done the 300 foot Kississimee sky coaster, that's the only one I've done. It's ok, but you're not missing anything. They pull you up, the people get real tiny. You go very high, look around and can see the entire city, you're above it all. They give the standard 3-2-1 fly and you pull the rip cord.
You drop straight down for a second, then start to swing. It's like being on a giant swing set on your stomach. You pick up speed and the people come back into focus. You go past the loading stand and half way up the other side where you can see the people watching you. It's over before you know it.
I'd say you have to try it once just to see what it's like, but that's about it.
I've ridden ripcord three times, it gets better every time. Thinking about riding it solo this year, but frankly it scares the crap right out of me, and then i'd just have to buy the video, don't need to be missing a chance to see that happen on tape!

I did it like this, I did it like that, I didn it with a wiffle ball bat.. ohhh

I done the ripcord countless times, it beats the rush on any coaster in the park. If you have the extra cash I definetly suggest riding a skycoaster.
I've ridden a Skycoaster. I really wasn't all that impressed. I was terrified while we were waiting and being hauled to the top, but after I pulled the ripcord it wasn't as scary or thrilling as I thought it would be. Sure, it was scary being 180 feet up in the air and staring straight down at the ground, but that lasted for about about 1.2 seconds. The Skycoaster I rode also had a booth positioned right under it, so it looked like you were going to smack straight into it. Not exactly scary, but an added thrill.
Well, I'm currently trying to work up the nerve to ride the Skyflyer at PGA. See, I have no problem going on a coaster at any height, I can't wait to ride MF and that's over 300ft. What I have a problem with is hanging by a cable and a nylon harness over 150ft in the air. For some reason, I can't get over that. I'm trying though, and I promised my friend I'd do it. So, some time this season I WILL do it, just not right now. Maybe after I ride MF I'll get the nerve, huh? ;) Looks like fun though. Peace. :)
what are the heights of these things and wheres the tallest one? how bout the one at sfmm. they look like a lot of fun. my sister did it with her friend. she liked it a lot. cant wait till i go to sfmm or cp. ill do i then.

9 times on Sky Screamer here in Vegas. Helps to work there, ya get on for free. Went once solo, was the greatest single thrill ever!

I've been on Skycoaster at Superland Rishon LeZion, Israel. I rode it 3 times, it was $10 per flyer.
bryang the tallest Skycoaster is the 300ft Kissimmee Skycoaster.
My $.02:
I find Skycoasters incredibly boring. In my estimation, it's like paying $$ to ride a giant swingset. I didn't get any sensation of freefall, just swinging. Then again, my sense of what is "thrilling" was changed forever after doing a 250 foot bungee jump, so to each his/her own I guess....
