Reverser Roller Coaster

As many times as i've played the game, i've just today stumbled across "Reverser Roller Coaster". These coasters are pretty neat. Does anyone know if any exist today?
I believe the real life reverser that was the inspiration for the RCT one only operated for a short time due to a fire (? pretty sure). The Hooper (?) Reverser was in a western state, Utah sticks in my mind.

I have another question, but it really doesn't matter for gameplay... does the reversing sequence not make sense to anyone but me? The train should be traveling the same speed or slower on the curved track, which is longer than the straight portion of the switch. Taking that into consideration, the part of the train on the straightaway should clear the switch segment first, but in the game, it's the opposite (the end on the curved segment whips around faster than the part on the straightaway). Not that it matter, but it seems to go against logic.

I will have to play the the game some more and pay attention to that General Public.

Seems to my that the end that traverses the longer section of the track would have to move at a faster speed then the end going across the shorter section. Angler speed and all that type of physics. The long the car is the higher the angler speed of the end that is whipping around.

Whoever made IOA:UK did a nice job using the reverser coaster as the jurasic jeep ride :)

I noticed too that the reverser sequence seemed backwards. I don't think though that it has any hinderance on gameplay, but I suppose we should complain about that like we complain about "needing" more realistic stations and giant corkscrews for the game to be fun.

Please note the sarcasm in this post.

Nah I don't care about the way the reverser works either. Not a big deal.

After playing around a little bit in roller coaster designer with the reverser roller coaster, I built a small camelback, and when I first tested my design, the vehcle which was moving forwards, derailed as it went over the camelback. I then adjusted my ride so that it took the camelback backwards, and the train did not derail when I tested it, even though the speed was near the same. Any way to explain this, and would this apply to reverser coasters in real life? (if there where any in operation)
