Reverchon and SFGAm

Yes redman, I heard somewhere, I wasn't talking about my own observations.

FWIW, I've been on Top Spins that I considered fairly *family*....WoF's comes to mind, and ones that I thought of as *extreme*....like King Kahuna. A Top Spin, like most flats, can be "subdued" or "cranked up"....it's up to the park.

King Kahuna extreme? I suppose you rode the ride when it first opened and haven't been on the new and improved version which involved the gondola in a fixed position the entire time and riders were hit with what basically was a giant wall of water. Yes it was extreme in the sense of water being forced up your nose but no in overall ride intensity.

CM....I got King Kahuna during PFN, the night before PPP. The one sequence of flips turned me upside-down seven times consecutively...granted, other than that it wasn't too much, but compared to Dorney's and WoF's, KK was a *blast*....of course, I've never gotten "a good dowsing" on any TopSpin, but I'm not there for the water anyway....I'm there to flip OUT!

Less intense than even Dorney's or WoF's (the other end of the spectrum), MBP and PKI....those were TAME rides....IMO.

what deal does SFGAm have with Reverchon for a package?
As far as I know, it's Zamperla who is building the ride and Reverchon providing the cars? Something about them "combining forces" from what I was told, kinda like Chance-Morgan, but not.

Yeah, so that wasn't a very good explanation, but hopefully you can kinda see what the hell I'm talking about.

OMG I have a new sig!!!
Zamperla recently signed a deal with Reverchon to broker their rides. Basically, Zamperla acts as a sales force for Reverchon's spinning mouse product. I'm not sure if Zamperla is actually doing the manufacturing or not, but it's not the only product they're selling for another company (see Windshear, Top Star Tour, etc).

Nate, the deal with Reverchon and Zamperla is a bit different that the deal with Soriani. With Reverchon, Zamperla has the rights to sell all Reverchon (but not Hopkins) products such as the Crazy Mouse, Gliding Coaster and Portable Rapids in North America. As far as I know they will handle no fabrication, it will all be out of France. Zamperla bought Soriani's assets in Soriani and Moser. So, the Soriani factory and any intellectual property they had became owned by Zamperla and Moser kept the rest.

Okay, thanks Adam. As I said, I knew about the Reverchon and Soriani deals but didn't know the exact specifics. My point in mentioning the deal with Soriani was only to point out that selling for another company (or acquiring another company's products for sale purposes) wasn't an uncommon thing. After all, Intamin did it for years.

Has there been any progress on the new ride? Like track and parts arriving, I know the weather is stopping any construction though.
