Restraints on Steeplechase?

This has been bothing me for quite a while, now. What are the restraints on BPPB's Steeplechase!?! In pics of it, it doesn't even look like there are any!

I've also pondered this a bit. I think I saw a photo once of some type of restraint system, but I've never heard anyone describe one.

I think it has carousel-style restraints.

Looking at that picture it seems as if it is just a seat belt.

It may be a lap belt, but it's kind of hard to tell. I know the one at Steeplechase Park on Coney Island didn't have any. You just sat on the horse and held on to the bar in front of you.

Europeans seem to have a more "personal responsibility" orientation to coasters and their legal system reflects that. In our country, the lawyers and the insurance industry have a much greater say, for better or worse...

Yep, your right - its just a lonely little seat belt!
