Research vs. Ride

I know this may be a dumb question but I was just wondering what you people like to do more - ride or research.  It just seems like there is a lot of people who ask technical questions about rides when others say how cool some are and get in arguements to defend there favorites.  I'm not trying to sound hypocritical or trying to discriminate anyone but I have a feeling some people like to research more about rides more than they like to ride them.  What do you peeps think?

I know this will most likely be closed but I just wanted to get it out.

Well basically the whole reason we like to research is because we love to ride!!  Why else would you research!

I *loved* to research long before I even *liked* to ride. Rollercoasters facinate the engineer in me more than thrill the daredevil in me. Riding is fun, but so is researching.

I like riding.

However, I do find that any "research" I do has nothing to do with physics or how rides work or what ever, but more so into history... not just of coasters (mainly wooden coasters) but of parks as well (not your "created" theme parks, but of traditional parks that have either gone defunct, evolved into modern theme parks, or hang on as independents).

Research leads to riding, and keeps me occupied when I can't ride.

So while I prefer riding, I enjoy researching as well.

I think it is neat to maybe design or create your own coaster, then dream of riding it. I want to engineer them myself. But riding them is the best part
I research becasue of the simple fact that I love to ride.  I also like to see how they work and stuff because I like mechanical things like that.
