A new major attraction will get the public in the gate. It will not necessarily keep them coming back. Only a consistent, quality experience will do that.The "tallest , fastest" policy at CP started back in the Munger era when the "unofficial" goal was to drive all the small to mid size parks in the tri-state area out of business. Needless to say they only partially succeeded. Not that most of the fallen would have eventually "turned out the lights", they just accelerated the inevitable.

I agree with you kind of, but I think coasters do make a big part in attendance

I went to ride TTD this summer, and many people I talked to in line were from other states, yet weren't Hardcore enthusiasts like us, but had to try the tallest and fastest in the world, while others were from all over ohio, and didn't even care for coasters that much, but had to try it.

This isn't just for TTD, as X, and all new rides draw crowds. There are many young ones who meet the
