Replacing an Intamin 1st gen Freefall?

At my home park here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at West Edmonton Mall, they recently removed our Intamin first generation freefall. I haven't heard if/what they will be replacing it with. Any ideas?

This is an indoor park btw. The freefall was about 130-150ft in a hexagonal glass tower the protrudes from the mall.

Thanks for the link up. I've been too busy to go in and check it out myself, just noticed as driving by. I had a lot of fun on that Intamin as a kid, I'm hoping the space shot will be a worthy replacement.

...it'll be MORE than a "worthy replacement" IMO. I never cared much for the *landing* on the first gen freefalls....the S&S shots/drops/combos are at least as good as the Intamin 3rd gen, and quite a bit better than even the 2nd gen rides....not that I'll be in Edmonton anytime soon....first-gens are the only non-spinning flats I can readily pass on.

According to the park's general managar, Harry Hanly, they will also be adding a Moser "Cosmic Spinner". Does anyone has a clue what this ride is?

Also: the park called the new ride a space shot, yet on the S&S website, it says WEM is getting a double shot. Anyone know which is correct?

CoasterMan: If a Double Shot is what I'm thinking of, there simply won't be room for it. The space where the Drop of Doom (Intamin Drop) was removed is in a tower that sticks out of the mall. I'm guessing they will simply use the one tower as it is or heighten it, but I can't see them building another one along with it. My guess would be just a space shot.

As for the Moser Cosmic Spinner, WEM tends to use the words Cosmic when naming various things throughout the park (the mascot is Cosmo), so I have no idea what type of ride it will be. But I found the website for the company: http://www.moserrides.com/

I'm gonna see if I can figure out what they're getting, you can too :D
