Removing RCT2

I'm trying to remove roller coaster tycoon 2 off my computer and reinstall but my computer won't let me do it. I go to start, settings, control panel, and add/remove progarms. Thne I click RCT2 and it goes through the setup to remove it. It then said RCT2 was removed, but they when I go back, It's still there. Can anyone help?

Try going through My Computer (C, Program Files, Infogames Interactive proably) and deleting the entire folder, then delete the RCT2 folder from your start menu by going to the menu settings, and be sure to delete from recycle bin

It might be just an icon that wasn't removed with it, but did you try start>programs>infogrames interactive>roller coaster tycoon>uninstall?

Or you could try just reinstalling it with it on there, it should replace the older file.

I tried the start>programs>infogrames interactive>roller coaster tycoon>uninstall. It still won't let me uninstall. And I tried reinstalling it and all it does is go to uninstalling rct2 and they the program is still there.

Right-click on the shortcut on the screen and click "Delete". After that, check to see if it's in the recycle bin, then delete it from there too. That should do it.

That just removes the shortcut though. Are you sure the whole program is still there, not just the shortcut?

Restart your computer with a boot disk, type the following
a:
format c: /s
type y, hit enter, then hit enter a couple more times, that will clear it off for sure.

COASTEROID: I'm sure. When I go to add/remove programs, RCT2 is the third from the bottom. Any suggestions to try to remove it?

I'm out of suggestions then, but one question-why do you want to uninstall, then reinstall it?

For some reason, when rct2 gets ready to come on, this message that says error trapper or something like that comes on. So I wanted to uninstall and then reinstall to see if it was going to come on the right way.

Try using the patch from the RCTII website. Did you just upgrade to XP?
