King Cobra, Paramount's Kings Island's oldest operating steel coaster until this year, is being removed in pieces, not demolished. All that remains is the lift hill and station platform.

ZepFoo,
Shockwave is very similar to King Cobra, but not an exact clone. The ending of Shockwave curves the other way around before the final bunny hops, and also seems to be a bit more rough during the first half of the ride.
The Skyrider at PCWo is pretty much an exact copy of King Cobra complete with the small trick-track section.

Does CCI know how to make a bad coaster?
MagunForce,
On Friday morning, half of the first drop remained. Looked pretty odd just ending lke it did. Later in the day, most of the first drop was gone. I also have some pics.

Im not even sure king cobra was the 1st stand-up with an inversion (excluding the 2 temp ones mentioned above) i belive there were 3 in japan before King cobra and that one had a loop. im about to look into this further but the First stand-up was the Gotemba Family Land Stand-up.
Anyway as far as i know the only eveidence its going to terra mitica is that paramount own TM. The artical i read said a park in Spain and nothing else.
Edit: Got it. The Yomouri Land ƒXƒ^ƒ“ƒfƒBƒ“ƒOƒ‹[ƒvƒR[ƒXƒ^[ or Standing loop coaster in english was built in 1982. If im not mistaken KC was built in 84?
Anyway this will be europes 3rd stand-up but only the 2nd still running which is cool

Yes all the parts are being sent back to the graveyard. I took video of both this weekend and will post them when I get the chance..

KC enjoyed a long run, and was a developed legacy in the development of standups to come. The first of its kind, KC may not have been as exciting as today’s steel skyscrapers, but its significance will not be easily forgotten. As a young and inexperienced rider, I was lucky enough to have it be among the first coasters I ever rode. This was during its final operating season. It was a wonderful finish to my great day at Kings Island, hopefully one of many more to come. KC must be respected, if not for its thrills, than for its historical and social impact on us all.

----Also, I will be heavily disappointed if it was torn down, to not be replaced with another coaster. TR was an unbelievable disappointment to me.
It is beeing brokered by ITAL Intl, (which is a mixed blessing but, at least it isn't getting scrapped out). It is listed @ their site as "stand up coaster" (5th row down 1st column, here is the URL:

It is NOT going to pack & ship to Terra Mitica, that was a thought for a few weeks & written off as a great loss for them on the books.
But think about having the *1st stand up* coaster. Only 1.1 mil (shipping not included)... ;-)
