Remnants of Riverview Park in Chicago

I was wondering where exactly the old Riverview Park was in Chicago? Is there any remnants left of the park (footers, monumnent, etc)? I am going to Depaul University on Wednesday and I think it used to be right by the Lincoln park campus. I hope to atleast take a look at the sight that once held one of the greatest amusement parks of all time. Thanks in advance for the help.

I don't know a ton about Riverview, but it was located at about Addison & Western (near Lane Tech HS)...not by Lincoln Park. Also, there is a McDonald's in that vicinity (I think it's on Addison) that is decorated with Riverview memorabilia and used to have old carousel horses. I haven't to that McDonald's since I was a kid (I grew up in that neighborhood). I don't know if the horses were authentic, but I remember the McDonald's being pretty cool, like a mini-museum. Have fun! :)

Arena football has arrived in the Windy City. Go "Chicago Rush"

Chitown, you just beat me to Adam Sandy's website, although the pictures really don't show much. Coaster895, Riverview is about 3 miles Northwest of Depaul. Most of the park is now covered by an industrial park, police station and shopping mall. The park that contains the visible remnants runs along the East Bank of the Chicago River North of Belmont. It is fairly easy to find the Chute the Chute troughs. Dawnmarie313, I don't know where the McDonalds horses came from, but Riverview's magnificent PTC carousel is now at SFoG.

FWIW, SFoG does pay homage to Riverview with a nice large plaque with the history of the PTC carousel...

...but Adam's site DOES kick butt, a great resource for hard-to-find historical info...:)
