Remember Rocky Point?

I used to go to this little park in Rhode Island a lot when I was younger. I remember they had a nice log flume, an Arrow corkscrew/looper and one of the first ever freefall rides. My question is why was the park closed and has something been constructed on the land or is the park still there? Also if the rides were sold which parks got the freefall and coaster.

I went there a few times when i was a kid to...it was the last theme park in RI, now RI has nothing...The land is all open...Heres a link with photos of the park then...and now

Apparently both steelies were relocated, one to WW/EV. The wooden flying turns sounds awesome!

The freefall made its way to Geauga Lake

It was a bobsled coaster that was at Rocky Point from 1930 to 1938.

I recently bought an employee name tag from Rocky Point on eBay.

There's some more info at Defunct Parks. The killer, to the best of my knowledge, was just poor attendance.
