There will be a vote next month on approving the issuance of $80 million in bonds for a third Disney Springs parking garage. Already, $350 million has been approved for projects scheduled for completion by 2018. Those include a 2-mile Western Way extension, a bridge taking hotel traffic over the Magic Kingdom's toll plaza, and a bypass providing better access to Floridian Way.

This probably isn't that interesting if you're not local, but the Floridian Way extension will be huge. Earlier this year they eliminated the old intersection at Reams Rd. and Center Dr., which had no traffic light and was the site of several pedestrian deaths. It was manned by county sheriffs every rush hour. Now there's a traffic light, a block west, but it still routes you between the employee lots and next to the monorail/train maintenance building.

I always found it funky that you had to go through the MK toll to get to any of the the MK resorts.
I never looked at it that closely, but what keeps you from cheating the parking fee by saying that you are going to one of the MK resorts, and just parking in the TTC parking lot?
What is Reedy Creek? The article says it is a Disney controlled taxing district. Is it some sort of government entity?
From Wikipedia:
The Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID) is the immediate governing jurisdiction for the land of the Walt Disney World Resort. As of the late 1990s, it comprised an area of 38.6 sq mi (100 km2) within the outer limits of Orange and Osceola counties in Florida. The RCID includes the cities of Bay Lake and Lake Buena Vista, and unincorporated RCID land.
RCID is Disney in government form. They are their own jurisdiction.

I haven't driven out that way in some time, I used to drive that route nearly every day. That intersection, even with the officers, was always a disaster I would avoid. This is a huge win.

Good faith.
When I worked as a coordinator at Epcot, we would generally have a couple dozen cars a day come through the toll plaza and tell us they were "just dropping off." The policy was to not charge and direct them to the drop off area. We would then watch them drive into the main parking lot, park, and all get out and enter the park. We were told to do nothing about it.
