Reducing travel expenses....a primer....

BS: Why the 'performance art' here? It did wonders for Yoko, didn't it?

Besides, real life stoopid is funnier than anything you can make up...

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

Nothing like being commited, huh?

They say no matter how bad you suck, as long as you stay commited, the performace will go over.

I think 'they' were wrong.

OH yes, having friends/familly near parks is VERY helpful. At least you can use it as an excuse to visit them. ;-)

Motel 6 (most of the time anyway), Cheaptickets, and fast food places that have coupons to their local parks (that you don't have a season pass for) are also ideal.

I camped for the first time in like 10 years last fall near SFWOA and saved a bundle and had a blast, and now that I have the "proper" camping equipment I am going to do that more often.

Am I included in your camping equipment, Tina? ;)

Absolutely, as long as you are waterproof, rugged, easy to assemble, and weather resistant. ;-)

How easy are you to pitch up? That's always improtant. :-)

I cannot believe you just said that, though I am, after all, Ultra Skin! ;)

Just add water, and say Nasai.

Just water? Sweet!

Now I won't have to pack extra batteries or worry about finding a site with an electrical outlet. ;-)

Cool! Talk about roughing it!

Anyone who frequents Southwest can save up towards a free trip in no time. I will probably fly once this year, and may get a free flight. Signing up for Southwest Rapid Rewards gets you 2 points, 4 if you are a collge student. Then after, each round booked online will get you 3 points. Every stay at a Choice Hotel will get you .5 points. Certain car rentals and other things will get you .5 points. Using American Express, 1250 Membership Rewards points gets you 1 point. 16 points gets you a free round trip anywhere Southwest flies! Very easy to get a free trip!

A good website that my family always uses is http://www.bestfares.com. Its flight search enginge has a nice feature that shows you alternative cities that are nearby your destination and have much lower flight prices. For example, this year I took a trip to CP and put Cleveland as my arrival city, but the search engine came up with a flight to Akron, which is about 20 minutes farther away from CP, for 50$ less. The site also has a section dedicated to amazing last mintue deals such as 200$ round trip to anywhere in Europe! If you become a member, which I'm pretty sure is free, you can recieve even better deals and a monthly magazine with tons of travel information.
