Record Breaking

Hi, I went to SFMW last week and rode Medusa atleast 20 times. I will be going again this Wednesday and I will try to get the most rides as I can to set myself a record. Do any of you have records?

I have some old albums, but I pretty much play CD's and a few cassette tapes. I have couple of 8 tracks in a box somewhere, but no place to play them.

A. Johnson I dont know if you are being sarcastic or you heard me wrong, but I was asking if anyone has like rocords for doing something, not music records.

I have track and field records from high school, and I have a few Division 2 football records, but what was the question again?

Medusa is a real good ride. Nice and smooth, however i wouldnt go on it 20 times

Ok AJ, its kinda old now. Heck, it was old before it started.

I rode the Villain at SFWOA 16 times in an hour... talk about a major headache... OUCH!

I have a record alright. 500 laps on Goliath so far. my record be 20 times in one hour god i was so out of it.

All you guys could set your own personal records by, for example, work at Cedar Point, and when they have a ride night, just go to it. Even with 3000+ employees, not that many ever show up for a single ride.

There would only be a few hundred to do the Demon Drop, Magnum, Gemini, Blue Streak, etc. (the old days). It was good to get it out of your system.

My record is...a lot of times.

I rode Top Gun at PKI 15 times in one hour one day. 18 times in the whole day.

With the lines promising to be short this friday maeby I'll break my hour record!

I know some girl that rode S:UE from open to close without getting off. I believe it was on a friday during Frightfest.

S:UE isn't open yet buddy

S:UE may not be open yet this year, but it has run for two entire seaons now.

Agent Johnson, you failed to realize one thing... some on this board may never have seen an old 33 1/3 LP... let alone an 8 track (unless it is on one of those nostalgia shows like "That 70's Show". Gee... do I feel old now).

Anyway... personally, I don't really care about records. If I would, I guess I would have to say my own personal record is 7 rides in a row on Hersheypark's Comet... 3 with out even leaving my seat. Nothing much, but hey, anytime I can get a re-ride with out getting out of the train is memorable enough for me.

My own personal record for most rides in one day is 113 between both sides of Twisted Sisters (soon to be Twisted Twins). I know others that have ridden Raven over 150 times in one day. For steel coasters, the most laps I taken on one day was 55 on Batman at SFStL, 57 on Kumba in just a few hours, and 38 on Millennium Force.

I don't keep track of laps anymore but those are the ones that stick out in my mind when I did count.
