Record-Breaker at Cedar Point

I have recently heard that this new *record-breaking* roller coaster to be built at Cedar Point is going to themed after drag racing. Is this true or just another false rumor running around? And 400 feet??? Are people getting their numbers confused or are we serious here?

Until an official announcement has been made, everything is a rumor.

And quite frankly, the only thing we can all safely assume is that this coaster was designed by Intamin.

I think that they are tricking us, making us believe that it will be a recod breaker...but it probably won't. Thats what i think.

I would have to agree with you on that RolliecoasterDUDE. I just don't think it will this BIG. I personally think it's going to be a spitting image of Xcelerator at Knott's. Maybe a little taller, but nothing major as they are putting it out to be.

Wait and see yee of little faith. Everything Cedar Point puts in breaks a record or two.

Who is this "they" that you speek of IOAhulk and Rollie. There is only speculation from us buzzers and a few in the know who haven't said too much. It's not like there is an official announcement or anything. So "they", being the people at CP or who actually know, haven't said anything yet. They may have implied some things, but I don't think anyone can be accused of lying.

People expect something big and if that's true or not has yet to be seen. I think it just may be a record breaker, I'm thinking fastest, and that's not too far out of reach even with an updated Xcelerator. But there are lots of records to be broken, who knows which one(s) they have in their sights. What was the last coaster built at CP that wasn't an "-est" coaster?
