Read somthing on a website thats kinda comical.

I drove the 390 miles from Cincinnati to St. Louis after the signing. I listened to some great tunes, and put some serious thought into doing a match at WrestleMania XX. I stopped halfway at Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana, to catch some rides on their two incredible coasters, "The Legend," and "The Racer." Riding with wrestling fans is such a thrill. It makes me feel like a little less of a loser, and the fans seem to love it. For some reason, a coaster is just a little more fun when there's a big, one-eared sweaty guy next to you.

Until next time,
Mick

This is from Mick Foley's WWE website. Its from Aug but still "The Racer" I didn't think PKI sold there Coaster to Holiday World? Maybe The Raven is what he ment. I didn't see it brought up in the search so I figured I would mention it.

Mick was at SRM 2001 [or was it 2002?]. Really great guy! He brought some "Make A Wish" kids with him.

That was also the year Mrs. Koch received a degree from Loyola Marymount and she was surprised with a "Senior Prom" during dinner. Mick and Mrs. Koch danced and, since I helped organize the prom, Paula encouraged me to cut in. So that was little old me tapping big old wrestler Mick on the shoulder....LOL!

BTW...you probably should have found a better title for your topic, like "WWF's Mick Foley at HW" or something.

Yeah I know I should of. What can I say its early :-). Couldn't use WWF since the WWF is a animal conservationist(SP) Group. WWE on the other hand is a wrestling company.

Chuck, who has a pic from Raven-Rider www.negative-g.com of Mick riding with our young friend Kris in the front seat of Raven.

We saw Mick in August at HW. We were leaving Legend when he was coming on. He came in through the exit, and picked a seat towards the back and let the girl who was waiting in line for that seat ride with him. She seemed pretty excited!
Afterwards we saw him signing autographs.

Mick hits a lot of parks, so I think it was probably a slip of the brain. I'd love to ride a coaster and hear the King of Hardcore wrestling screaming like a girl. :)
Mick Foley is one of the dearest human beings on the planet!

He does so many good things for sick children -- and then stays in touch with them. It's not a "photo op" for him; it's personal.

When he called me about visiting Holiday World in August, my assistant told him I was unavailable. I was at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis with my son James, who was three at the time. (James is fine now, thank God! We were in isolation at Riley for 10 days. Very scary.)

Anyway, Mick was quite concerned and passed along his cell phone number for me to call if I needed anything. Sweet man!

A few months later, Mick was doing a book signing in Connecticut, in the same town where my folks live. My parents remembered my stories about Mick at SRM '02, so they went. They waited in line to have Mick sign their book. As soon as they introduced themselves, Mick's face fell into a look of concern and he asked: "How's her little boy?"

I was so impressed with that, I nearly cried!

And Moosh, I'll never forget *gently* encouraging you to cut in while Mrs. Koch danced with Mick. I wasn't about to take "no" for answer! :)

I work FOR the people who work with the sick children (FL Children's Medical Services), and have to say that people like Mick make it a LOT easier, not only for the sick children, but for the entire families, to deal with some pretty tough circumstances. I just deal with the computer aspect, but the nurses, doctors, case workers, and therapists who are "in the trenches", as far as I'm concerned those people are heroes.

It really is special to brighten the day of a sick child. Mick, if you happen to be reading, you ROCK! (Maybe Paula will just pass it on, LOL).

bill, feeling honored that Paula *adopted* my asterisks! :) And happy to hear Paula's son James recovered (and will join us at HW in the future *wink wink*)....

edit: Paula, your posts here just make the 'buzz a better place to be....thanks! :)

Paula - the guy is HUGE...can you blame me for being a wee bit apprehensive?

mOOSH [who, as a joke, had contemplated tapping Mick on the shoulder and then dancing with him for a second before moving to Mrs. Koch]

That was such a neat moment...Mrs. Koch was so happy. She *loves* to dance! She said later, "Oh, I wish Bill could have seen it!" (Mr. Koch passed away the previous fall.) Somehow, I think Mr. Koch had a good view from up above. :)

Yeah, Mick is a great person. He has been helping children for quite awhile. He loves kids. This is a far cry from his image when he was wrestling. Barbed wire matches, bomb matches, Hell in a Cell matches, etc, etc. This guy used to take a beating and was sometimes a bloody mess. Unfortunately all of these hard bumps that he has takin throughout the years has cut his career short. The man was destined for a wheelchair before the age of 40.

Professional wrestling and coasters. Mick Foley is the man. Hope to run into him some day riding coasters.
