I just recently got a G5 for a graduation present and was pissed that I couldn't play RCT on my new 20inch screen...AHHH!! Yes, it sucks... Any help would be appreciated!

Hi.....whats your name again?

I suggest you do what I do. I use my Windows machine for RCT2 and my tv tuner, and use my iBook for just about everything else. If I need performance though, I use my dad's powermac, which is only a dual G4.
I wish RCT2 was available to Mac, but I guess, from what I have read from responces to when I asked the same question, it would be too hard to port.
Enjoy your G5. I probably won't be able to get one for a long time, but I am almost sure you will love it.

EDIT: Safari is a great browser to use for Coasterbuzz. It blocks the popups automatically, and it is fast. I just wish I could afford the CB club so I could make up for blocking the pop-ups. *** Edited 12/3/2003 6:44:36 AM UTC by Avalanche Sam***
RCTycoon 2 will not be made for mac anytime soon, because the software program was written in Assembly language for Intel ibm compatible motherboards.. Assembly languages are written specifically for the particular hardware of computer, meaning that if they wanted to make RCTycoon2 for mac they would have to write in an assembly language that was for macintosh only.
Which I am sure Chris sawyer is not going to do, because there is not a strong market for gaming on the Mac platform, no offense to any mac users. They are great computers but not enough alot of games are written for pc, and some are programmed in assembly, C, C++ or Java. It all depends on what language the game was programmed in. If the rct was programmed in Java, Theoreticaly it could work on all operating systems, because java is not operating system specific, it uses a virtual machine to run the programs. where as Assembly is written for the hardware and some versions of C and C++ are specific to mac and some are specific to IBm compatible.
Sorry to be to technical for everyone.
I hope this makes sense,
Thanks for reading.
