RCT:The Rides

Where are these rides if they are from real parks..

for instance..what park has a shuttle coaster? Ghost train, virginia reels, side friction coaster, whoa belly?

The closest we get to whoa is Power Tower at CP..anyone know where Chris's ride ideas came from..what parks?

Thanks :)

There's a lot of whoa belly's....pretty much all at Cedar Fair parks but you can't forget the big shot in Vegas.

Virginia Reels I don't think are anywhere anymore. I know Blackpool Pleasure Beach had one, and Riverview Park in Chicago, too. Side Friction is like Leap-the-Dips at... Lakemont Park? Someone knows, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

What do you mean what park has a shuttle coaster? SFGAm, CP, SFMW, SFGAdv, and PKI, to name a few.

Deja Vu in the front seat makes V2 feel like a kiddie ride!

The shuttle loops in RCT are smaller than in the real world just think about Montezuma's Revenge at Knott's and you know what they should look like

Ghost trains are simple dark rides Think haunted houses carnival rides and seeral Disney rides like Mr.Toad or Alice in Wonderland

Virginia Reel and Side Friction coasters were introduced in Corkscrew Follies which featured many old style rides The reels are extinct now and there are few side frictions still standing

Not everything is RCT is real to my knowledge, such as that weird reverser thing. But most of it is.
Yea, is there any real life reverser coasters?

Look at some of the history books on amusement parks, including the American Scream Machine by Robert Cartmell, many parks had tons of these rides in the 20's.

Everything in RCT IS real, all of the rides you can find somewhere.... maybe not in the US, but somewhere..

What reverser thing? The old fashioned reverser? I'm pretty sure that all of them are defunct/extinct.. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Cedar Point have one?

The only thing I haven't seen that is in RCT is the water splash on the wooden coasters and the flying saucer ride..

But I'm sure that they exist/have existed somewhere...!

CANADA ROCKS!
Why do people line up for bad movies, simply for the fact that the words 'STAR WARS' are in the title?????

coo man chu, Dorney park has things called Krazy Karz. They are almost the same as the Flying Saucers (bumper boats with levers on land).

Knoebels had them in either in the 60's or the 70's. They got rid of them because they were an upkeep nightmare. I found this out from the book I picked up about the park last summer. Lots of old pictures in it of rides I didn't know they had before (and some I remember).

Actually a flying saucer ride can be Found at Belmot Park, south of the Giant Dipper and East of Bumps. They arent exactly like the flying saucers in RCT, but the same concept and look like it, they use them as a type of bumper boats on land just as punk stated above.

Also remeber, Chris Sawyer has used many parks in the United Kingdom as the basis for his ride design.

Fire in the Hole at Silver Dollar City has a water splash.
Where is there a shuttle coaster at SFGAD? If you are referring to Lightning Loops, it wasn't the kind of shuttle like RCT has. And it is now defunct and dismantled... After watching the Disc channel, I saw Mont. Revenge and now I saw what a real life shuttle coaster is..but , SFGAD doesn't have one.
RCT has the lightning loops type of shuttle coaster in theBPB scenario as well as the megaworld park scenario, the only thing wrong with it is the reverse track has to be sloped upwards to prevent the train from rolling right off the track.
The only problem with the shuttle loops like that is when the station breaks fail on the side opposite the station. :)
Disneyland had a Flying Saucers ride in the 1960s.

SFGAdv has two shuttle coasters, Batman and Robin the chiller!

Track Record: 110 and counting.....

He uses a bunch of rides from anywhere in the coaster era. I don't know where a reverser coaster has been, but I bet there was at least one. There are TONS of whoa bellies, all CF parks, Big Shot in LV, there's a few in Japan, IB has one, and for a list of the rest check here http://www.s-spower.com/location.html. If you're wondering where the 2nd page is when checking it out, the page will change in a little bit.

That's not true. That happened to me once and I thought that the train would go straight through the station and out the other end. Instead, it hit the back of the station and shuttled out of the station again until the ride was fixed.

I love roller coasters, and I need psychiatric help. Or a roller coaster.
