That's not a surprise to anyone. The big question is when it will be available in retail.

I talked to Walmart this morning and they said they would for sure have it on the shelf tomorrow...my guess is that they already have the copies at the store and will be on the shelf tomorrow....the clerk in electronics sounded pretty confident about it!!! *** Edited 10/26/2004 2:35:20 PM UTC by Evolution*** *** Edited 10/26/2004 2:35:43 PM UTC by Evolution***

Just got the e-mail from EB Games notifying me of shipment a few minutes ago.

Guess what I'm doing tomorrow?

How soon before we can upload to CB Games, Jeff? :)

EDIT - Also found it interesting that the official RCT forums went down the day this thing started shipping to everyone. :)

Heh. Those forums are an enigma to me.

I hate them, I get annoyed reading through them, I don't want to look...

...but I've stopped by once or twice a day since the demo.

ARRRGH!

Once we all have the game and the exchange around gets moving again, I doubt I'll ever check out the official forums again. Same thing happened with RCT2.

Called Gamespot today in California and they said it will be out today October 26th 2004.
Wal-Mart has released the game you can put money on the game in layaway or a reserve amount and pay the rest at a later date. Most Locations are still relying on the release date Nov. 2nd, I'm getting my copy Nov. 4th as a gift from a friend! :)
I got a call and message from Gamestop earilier that my game was in:). Too bad I have to wait till I get paid to pick it up and get a new vid card:(.

I stopped in my local Gamestop today and asked them if they planned on getting it today or tomorrow, at which point the guy told me I'd be stupid not to reserve a copy for $5. I told him he'd be stupid to believe that Best Buy wouldn't have a hundred copies and I could buy it there if his store actually didn't have it.

The only reason I pre-reserved is because I have to travel an hour plus to the mall, and since I don'thave the cash to pick it up on opening day, and the fact that the only electronics store only gets a few things in, and there are no best buys for hours, I didn't want to show up to pick it up on friday and they be out for a week like what happened to me for RCT1, N64, MK3, and a few others. I pre-order now that I live back home because I want an assurance I'll get it.

If I lived closer to more than one place that carries it, I'd not have done it. Darn Economicly depressed southern WV for not having a WalMart or EB/Gamestop closer yet!

EB and GameStop "walk-in" shops will have it tomorrow for sure. The mail order division got it today, and began shipping as well, so if you ordered overnight, you'll also have it tomorrow.

In addition, the 60 Minute Trial Version that was temporarily on GameSpot offered a "buy it now" feature, which automatically unlocks the full version, so you own the game immediately (just not the CD). Guess what I've been doing for the last half hour (but have to get back to work).

Edit: Another place hosting the Trial Demo:
