Speculation around here had it around the 15th based on the time frame for the preorder bonus downloads.
The morons (err, users) over on the official site's forums are saying the 13th is pretty much confirmed.
The only certainty is that it was announced as the demo would be available in September.
Some people need to get a life.
I'm totally excited about the game but the people have 10 pages of "screen shot analysis" and thats pushing obsession.
I think we're WAY obsessed around here most of the time, but we're firggin' lightweights compared to those bozos.
Not to mention the vibe in general. Everything that sucks about public forums exists on the official RCT forums. For a 'what not to do at Coasterbuzz' primer, just visit those forums.
The only time I'd camp out a night before ANY release is if there's a new X-Box or new PS Game system & it's going to be free when it comes out to the first so-many per store and they're giving out food to all the people who wait.
If this board had no rulz, well... all hell would break loose.
Jeff has brainwashed people with the TOS for years and it is hilarious if someone makes a post against the TOS 20 people say "closing in 321" and start screaming at the person.
I think that people here have learned what is and isn't acceptable for the most part. But you are right, hell could break loose with newbies.
Will it be on the official website or given with your deposit of the game from gamestop?

You do realize that there are probably posters here that are posting there, right?
I don't doubt it one bit. Heck, just read the various members posts around here and it shouldn't be too hard to sort out who probably posts on the official boards and who most likely doesn't.
And some of the posters here ARE the bozos that are posting there who are probably camping out a week or two before the release date.
Is this an official 'coming out' for you or just an additional observation? ;)
I can't think of a single thing/circumstance that would cause me to camp out for said item/perk. In this case it's really hilarious because:
A. It's not like there's a limited number and if you don't get it now, you'll wait months for more copies to show.
and
B. Does the difference in getting a copy the sceond the store opens vs strolling in later in the day (or week) really matter?
Ahh, to be young and easily excited again...
There are some decent posters there, but mostly not. I have kept up with the board for screens and the like, but never post.
Now it says that the "official" release is indeed Nov. 2(but its only slightly confirmed...), and that the Demo will be out Sept. 20(again, only slightly confirmed...).

I'm sure it will sell well even here, I've actually been suprised at how many people I meet that play the game and love it, yet aren't into coasters and such.
I guess anybody can see how great of a game it is!
But I agree, if past RCT releases are any indication, there will be plenty to go around. And if you want to get it a little sooner then the official release date, you might check Walmart. People have been mentioning that a lot of their stores stock right away and do not hold the game. I seem to remember that from the RCT2 release.
As for how you can get the demo when released:
http://www.atari.com/us/demo/rct3
SFNE Central- Online Six Flags New England Resource
Btw, I visit the RCT3 forums every once in awhile, the obsession of people on there is pretty sad. I am very much looking forward to the game, but running a thread about camping out months before the game arrives, screenshot and video analysis, threads begging Atari to add a certain ride or to release the demo at a specific time, wow, it makes me happy there are moderated boards such as this one. Atari's public board is a complete mess. The only thnig worthwhile is the FAQ that was created that lists all the known rides and themes.
The Sims 2 is out next week, the RCT3 demo will have to wait. Not like I need a demo, I already know the game will be good and I can wait for a final version.
