RCT3 Demo release date

I was just wondering does anyone know the exact demo release date and how can I get the demo. I remember rumors about it coming out this month around the end of sept.

Enjoy the rest of your day here at Cedar Point ,, Americas Rock n' Rollercoast.

I believe September was an officially announced thing.

Speculation around here had it around the 15th based on the time frame for the preorder bonus downloads.

The morons (err, users) over on the official site's forums are saying the 13th is pretty much confirmed.

The only certainty is that it was announced as the demo would be available in September.

Yea the official boards have some asses on it saying they are camping out at the stores until it comes out.

Some people need to get a life.

I'm totally excited about the game but the people have 10 pages of "screen shot analysis" and thats pushing obsession.

Ha! I'm glad someone else gets it.

I think we're WAY obsessed around here most of the time, but we're firggin' lightweights compared to those bozos.

Not to mention the vibe in general. Everything that sucks about public forums exists on the official RCT forums. For a 'what not to do at Coasterbuzz' primer, just visit those forums.

You do realize that there are probably posters here that are posting there, right? And some of the posters here ARE the bozos that are posting there who are probably camping out a week or two before the release date.

The only time I'd camp out a night before ANY release is if there's a new X-Box or new PS Game system & it's going to be free when it comes out to the first so-many per store and they're giving out food to all the people who wait.

If this board had no rulz, well... all hell would break loose.

No, not necessarily rob.

Jeff has brainwashed people with the TOS for years and it is hilarious if someone makes a post against the TOS 20 people say "closing in 321" and start screaming at the person.

I think that people here have learned what is and isn't acceptable for the most part. But you are right, hell could break loose with newbies.

My question is this. "how do we aquire the demo game"?(when avalable)

Will it be on the official website or given with your deposit of the game from gamestop?

In the past it has been available for download for both RCT1 & 2 on the website.

I don't doubt it one bit. Heck, just read the various members posts around here and it shouldn't be too hard to sort out who probably posts on the official boards and who most likely doesn't.

Is this an official 'coming out' for you or just an additional observation? ;)

I can't think of a single thing/circumstance that would cause me to camp out for said item/perk. In this case it's really hilarious because:

A. It's not like there's a limited number and if you don't get it now, you'll wait months for more copies to show.

and

B. Does the difference in getting a copy the sceond the store opens vs strolling in later in the day (or week) really matter?

Ahh, to be young and easily excited again...

And If I may speak on the same lines as Gonch, do we really care if they are posting on both boards and happen to see what he said? I agree whole heartedly that it is trolling and flaming as bad as RRC.

There are some decent posters there, but mostly not. I have kept up with the board for screens and the like, but never post.

Now it says that the "official" release is indeed Nov. 2(but its only slightly confirmed...), and that the Demo will be out Sept. 20(again, only slightly confirmed...).

Every time I go into a Gamestop or EB and ask about a release date, those tools are always trying to sell me on a pre-order and how I'll miss out or whatever if I don't. Idiots. Not only is it not that critical to have it first on the block (I'm sure I'm the only "kid" to have all three consoles, I don't need to prove myself ;)), but new popular releases are always well-stocked. Anyone remember the piles of GTA Vice City at Best Buy when it came out?

Its like that here as well. I'm like "I live in Southern WV, and I could probably count the number of people that are going to come to this store on this day specifically to get RCT3 on one hand.

I'm sure it will sell well even here, I've actually been suprised at how many people I meet that play the game and love it, yet aren't into coasters and such.

I guess anybody can see how great of a game it is!

To add to Jeff's Comment, All stores will ship ahead of time to the store in plenty of RCT3 ready at hand at release day. RCT3 will be shipped to stores in late September and will hold it till the night before when they stock the shelves plentiful! Hell, sounds like christmas! :) They will have plenty to go around!
Uh, shipped to stores in late September? The game hasn't even gone gold yet.

But I agree, if past RCT releases are any indication, there will be plenty to go around. And if you want to get it a little sooner then the official release date, you might check Walmart. People have been mentioning that a lot of their stores stock right away and do not hold the game. I seem to remember that from the RCT2 release.

As for how you can get the demo when released:

Actually, if you remember the RCT2 early release mess-up, you know it was pretty hard to get. I had to fly down to Target that night to snag one of the last two.

From what I read, the game is released 10/26, and the official release date is 11/2, but Atari tends to not make anybody stick to a specific date, which is why RCT3 should be available rather quickly, although a couple retailers will be anal and hold the game till a certain day.

Btw, I visit the RCT3 forums every once in awhile, the obsession of people on there is pretty sad. I am very much looking forward to the game, but running a thread about camping out months before the game arrives, screenshot and video analysis, threads begging Atari to add a certain ride or to release the demo at a specific time, wow, it makes me happy there are moderated boards such as this one. Atari's public board is a complete mess. The only thnig worthwhile is the FAQ that was created that lists all the known rides and themes.

The Sims 2 is out next week, the RCT3 demo will have to wait. Not like I need a demo, I already know the game will be good and I can wait for a final version.

Well nobody really knows whether it will be good, it is expected to be good. The other reason for the demo is to get a feel for the game before the final version.:)
SFNE Freak...I didn't mean it was easy to get EARLY. :). It however was very easy to get on time with plenty of copies in every store I saw that week. Jeff's right...preordering (for this game at least) is not needed at all. Unless you want to get the bonus track downloads that can even be used in the demo. Then it might be worth it.
Regardless, I pre-ordered San Andreas. ;)

It's official and a press release, the demo is now the 27th:
