RCT3 CD Key?

I got RCT3 for Christmas and after hours of first getting our new computer hooked up and numerous difficulties, I go to install RCT3 and the product key didnt work. Did anyone else have this problem or did I just get a bad disk or something. My thinking is some stupid idiot went around and mixed the CD's. Thanks

I believe any cd key should work for any disc of the game even if they were switched. Did you double check to make sure you entered the key correctly?

Yeah, make sure you enter it correctly. I believe it's all capital letters such as AAA-AAA-AAA as well as numbers.

If it still doesn't work take it back to the store and exchange it.

This was discussed in the official RCT3 forums and some said that a slip of paper with a different key was included in the retail box. I assume you probably checked, but if you didn't, take a look.

oh, ha ha! This sounds familiar! I had the same problem, here the tip, don't type it in with the dashes for example use this: AAAAAAAAAA instead of AAA-AAA-AAA , you should type it up together, no spaces, dashes, or slants. Try that, I had problems the first time i tried to install.;)

They didnt do a very good job with the registration of the key. I had a bit of trouble with it as well.

They didn't do a very good job with a lot of aspects of the game.

Every other application that has a key has the four or five little boxes to enter the key in, but not in RCT3. *sigh*

Yeah, I also go the retail box from Costco version and it has the CD key piece of paper in it.

Yes, very dissapointing, every game I play except rct3 had those boxes, and its easy to install. I want to smack the head person in charge of this project, and tell him not to screw up! lol, but then again, it can be fun.
