RCT2 Release date October 9th

I was just at the mall and was in EB. I asked the guy behind the counter if there was a release date for RCT2. He punched it in the computer and told me October 9th. I figured I spread the info.

Thanks for spreading the word and let the countdown begin.

This is gonna be awsome...Thanks for the info!

Anybody know where it says this on the net?

The EB (Electronics Boutique) official web-site says the release date is October 15th, but it could have been pushed forward a few days...

I wouldn't exactly start counting down until we get a little closer to the release date. Dates change very often

JGood point Jephry but I like to think positive

At least it's a ball park date. Although there is still alot of time until mid October. I'm actually with kRaXLeRidAh with the 15th instead of the 9th I heard. Most games come out on a Tuesday (15th) and not Wendsdays (9th). I guess we'll see when the time gets closer.

If people have already played it at E3, then why can't they at least release a demo?

The code at E3 probably isn't ready for a full-release demo. The environement at E3 is very controlled -- they know exactly what hardware the code will be running on, how long it'll be running, and they can observe what people are doing in case it goes down.

None of the above apply in a public demo.

A release date in October would be awesome, but I'll believe it if it happens. Software ship dates can vary a LOT -- development schedules are educated guesses at best.

If they have that much of a game already, I would think the full game could be out even by late September. It looks like they have got most of the big things out of the way, except for the code changing thing. I don't know how long Chris has been working on this to get that far, but if he's expecting it to be done by August or so, then he should probably know whats gonna be in and whats not. I wonder if he could just tell us. Hmph.

Anyways, does anybody think that flat rides would take as long as roller coasters to put in the game? If he's onna make this sequel worth-while then he has to be putting in some descent flat rides. I don't know whcih ones but probably some of the ones that you see at most of the Six Flags parks.

I saw it too and it said october 9th
We have people who are seriously looking forward to fall? The very begining of the off season. Yuck.
Well at least this time we've got quite alot to keep us busy when the off season arrives,I can hardly wait.
