RCT2 Ferris Wheel Locks Up -- Bug???

I'm playing the Electric Fields scenario and I build a Ferris Wheel with Backwards Rotation and Rotations = 1. The ride loads fine, but as soon as a couple passengers are unloaded it freezes. Nobody gets on, the ride doesn't move, and the status window says "Unloading Passengers". Can somebody else PLEASE check this on your game and let me know if you get the same thing!!!

EXCELLENT Sawblade...thank you! I wanted to make sure I didn't have a defective copy. I'll definitely report it then (thanks for the link Jeff), but I think I'll wait till next week since we're not really supposed to have the game yet.

Hopefully they can just release a simple patch to fix this. Also my Launched Freefall (S&S Shot) doesn't make any sound....I wonder if that's a bug or if they did that on purpose since none of the other thrill rides have sound effects.

Send the e-mail now. It's not as if you have an illegal copy.

I would wait, also. He might not respond if you say you have the game already.

You should report the bug now, so they have can make a patch for it quicker if they want. Im sure they know the games out already in some places. The quicker they know about it the better.

Why act like having the game is supposed to be some big secret, a cloak-and-dagger mission. After all, there has been enough traffic on RCT forums that I'm sure the company already knows by now. You don't think its just park reps who stealthly monitor these boards, do you?

Ok I emailed them this morning so I'll wait and see what happens. The website says expect at least 3 days for a response.
Man I tell you Park Reps definatley Patrol these sites. I bet you they probley have some moderators in there too because sometimes my really good news about six flags parks they just disappear.

Confused also... what?

I heard a patch fix is coming out, i think it was over on the RCT.com forums (on Infogrames)

...says the idiot who actually ran into a glass sliding door.

LOL.....I just got an email back from the techs at Infogrames. Must be an automailer because it didn't address the bug issue at all. Here are my instructions:

1) Uninstall the game using the Add/Remove Programs control panel in Windows.

2) Delete the folder for the game, located on your hard drive. When you uninstall a game, this folder is usually left behind for you to delete manually.

3) Restart your computer, and run the programs Scandisk and Disk Defragmenter. These are two utilities that are provided with Windows, and they monitor, clean, and repair your hard drive.

4) Disable applications running in the background.

5) Clean the CD. You can do this by washing the CD under luke-warm water. Use a liquid detergent that is non-abrasive and use your fingers to spread the soap evenly across the shiny underside. To dry the CD use a soft cotton lint-free towel that will not create any further scratches.

6) Reinstall the program.

Guess we're supposed to just wash the bugs right out. I'll get right on that when I get home ;) lol I'm sure they'll release a patch to fix that and other known issues.

Clean the CD? Oh yeah, that's it.

Tech support people are morons. It's not a freakin' vintage 1985 Atari cartridge.
