RCT2 Ex. Pack Title

I don't know if its been discussed before but the title of the Ex. Pack is going to be "Wacky World".Kinda cheesy if you ask me. I got the info from Tycoonplanet.com.

I heard the same thing over at Danimation & RCT station,I wonder if judging by the title that the expansion will be similar to LL from RCT1 focusing more on the landscape/scenery aspects of the park rather than new rides.

If anything is needed in the expansion it's flat rides big time ,we only got 2 new flats in RCT2 & they aren't that impressive to say the least.

As far as coasters go all we need are inversions on the giga, complete curcuit track for the impulse & a rocket coaster but that's about it & we need the dive loop/quarter loop feature on the inverted as well.

Wacky world I really hope they got something interesting dealing with the rides.
Batwing Fan, you can have a complete circut on an impulse.
Perhaps Batwing Fan means that he wants an Intamin inverted. What we really need is banking on Hypercoasters and Corkscrew coasters
Rollercoaster Tycoon has gotten to a point where it isn't a great game anymore. Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 really disappointed me. I agree with the rest of you gies, the more flat rides, the better the game will be.

Unfortunately with that name it sounds like it's going to emphasise theming again. That would be okay IF he added to the themes we already have, more dinos, western stuff and absolutely more wall and roof options.

Absolutely no more food or drink stalls. If he makes stalls then make them skill games stalls.

FLATS RIDES

Larger curves for the rapids ride(I don't think anyone has ever asked for that). The current rapids ride looks so portable. Also how about a track section with a geyser.

Give the Corkscrew, vekoma style inverteds, and the fliers large half loops

LARGE HALF CORKSCREWS

On track boosters for launched coasters

Raise or abolish limit on themes and rides/stalls

REMOVE the damn snowman from the tea cups ride and take the genie off the magic carpet(make these a vehicle option for these rides but don't force us to use them)

But my money still says Chris is still out of touch with what his customers want

Why not curved paths. It would be simple. For paths you have options similar to those of a roller coaster, in direction options. It couldn't be that difficult, and would add some realism to the game.

Here are some thoughts of what I think we will see in the next expansion...

Contrary to what John has said, I actually do believe that Mr. Sawyer does read online boards in the coaster community and is in touch with what people want in the game. That said, there are a few factors that are going to prevent him from doing everything that everyone wants:

(1) He is the sole developer for Roller Coaster Tycoon. That means that his time is limited in what is created in the game.

(2) Many people have been screaming for new flat rides but it is a well known fact that the flat rides require the most work for new animations. When developing new coaster types, many of the animations are already done except for the new track and trains. The only time a new coaster would require more work is if a new element, not used on other rides, was developed.

My prediction is that the expansion will add quite a bit of new scenery. I personally am hoping for more walls and roofs and things like that myself. Scenery is easy to make as evidenced by the dearth of it on the internet.

I would expect there to be a few new coaster types most notably the rocket coaster. This game is about coasters so those will be a must have.

As for flats, I think Chris is good for about four or five of them. Don't expect to be blown away by them, but hey, they are more than you had before.

As for stalls, unfortunately we will probably see more of these, even though there are more than is needed right now (what was up with all the asian food additions?) We might get that game stall addition but dont hold your breath.

Of course there will be a slew of new scenarios, maybe a new theming group or two, and some improvements to the paths (like making all the options available on those again)

Those are my predictions, lets see how right I am :)

Do you guys think that there will be some new real parks in the game. I hope for SFGAm

Whats red yellow and blue at SFGAm...???

For all you guys who are always complaining about flat rides, here is a quote from an interview with First Drop:

Q:Is there anything you would have liked to of put in the game but couldn't?

A:There was a lot of things people requested to go in that I have would loved to put in. Some people say that I don't put rides in because I don't like them, which isn't true. I would love more flat rides for example, but you have to make compromises in design as to whether to add three new coaster types, or one new flat ride. Coasters, though are more flexible, so they end up going in. I want to give people the best playability. I looked at putting in a sky coaster but it would take two weeks that could have been used to put more coasters in.

wacky worlds come out in may so get ur copy
Chris probably listens to coaster message boards, and if he doesn't, why does he have coasterbuzz on the RCT2 website?

If Chris reads this - I'd really like banked turns on vekoma inverts, and an Intamin invert would be nice :)

An Intamin invert wouldn't be all that difficult to do, just use the Giga coaster track raised and Impulse trains.

The only difference between stupidity and genius is genius has limitations.

Ride-wise, if Mr. Sawyer did nothing but allow for banked turns on Corkscrew and Hyper (yes, they do exist in real life), I would be extremely happy.

Large half-corkscrews and more flats would be nice, but are only secondary considerations.

I hear America screaming...

Based on what Kick the Sky said, I would think that if Chris Sawyer were going to add any flat rides at all, then the expansion pack wouldn't be out until around a month or two later. That is of course with all the rest of the scenery and scenerios if he adds those. I really want more flats too, but it ain't gonna happen this time, or at least it doesn't seem like it. Maybe next time. :(

I'd love large half loops on 4-D's, and banked turns on every coaster too :)

Actually, PlayerPunk, it could be he had some flat-rides half-finished before the release last fall, so all he needed to do was finish them.

In addition to the universally desired large half loops and large half corkscrews, I'd like to see simple things like larger radius turns on all the water rides (log flume, river rapids, river ride, etc), as well as the ability to have track and hills on diagonals.

i was bored so i thoght of stupid things like parking lots and shuttles going through the parking lot like in disneyland and buses or something in the parks
