RCT2 2nd Expansion To Be Released On Oct 21st

Eb's website lists October 21st as the release date for RCT2's second expansion:

No information about it has been released. Given that the 2nd expansion is due out so soon, my guess is that it will be similar to wacky worlds.

I hope it's not like Wacky Worlds.

Probably another crappy scenery pack that is overpriced.

Perhaps, this will be a real expansion that they have been working on from the beginning. I'm not saying that it will definitely be, but it could be. We don't know anything about but a projected release date. Let's wait and see some screenshots before we jump to conclusions.

i agree..maybe wacky worlds was used just to occupy use until the real exp2 came out..which is this and maybe all our wishes will come true(more flats!) rollercoaster tycoon2 : Land of the flat rides!...(u never know)

^^Thank you!^^ I've been trying to tell the people over at RCT2.com Forums the same thing. We are so quick to judge and there isn't even a title! Sad, it really is...

I'm not going to say anything on the thumbs up or thumbs down side. I am neutral until we get a title and some screenshots. Just keep one thing in mind....It's June now and it comes out in October. Around 4-4 1/2 months of creating it. How long did it take them to create, make and release WW? About the same amount of time? I really don't remember when work on the game was started.

I heard about this on the boards over at danimation earlier today & I hope that since this pack will be released in october that they'll have more time to make the much needed improvements that are lacking in the WW expansion pack.

If they add new coasters(hoping for a rocket & full circuit intamin inverted) as well as some new flats then maybe we might just be able to forgive infogrames/atari for the horrible mistake of an expansion known as wackey worlds,I think midway madness would be a good title for this add on.

The new rides may need WW. They can't possibly pack more scenery into the thing can they?

Frank: It has had to be in development for some time now, it's not really possible to punch out software in 4 months. They have been working on this and have only "announced" it recently

No, I haven't tried WW, but even that had to have had more time on it

edit: Coasteroid: They did include both expansions when they released Loopy Landscapes for RCT1. Perhaps they are going to do the same thing here?

Please don't jump to conclusions, we pretty much all know what we want and don't want. Good job mut for finding it. Im going to save up mt money for this but it depends on the reviews and what coaster community thinks.

A true enthusiast goes on the kiddie coasters.

If Cedar Point had TTD in the works for 3 YEARS but didn'd announce it until 2 YEARS later, why would you think they only STARTED working on this add on after WW was released. This expansion may have been started the day after RCT2 was finished.

I agree with Goccvp1. It's just like a movie too. It's filmed a year or two before it is even announced and/or released. I haven't bought Wack Worlds yet (waiting for the price to come down), but I don't think it looks all that bad. I could really put some of that new scenery to good use. :)

I wish that they would add new flats and game stalls to that game.

I don't see them publishing another "mainly themeing" add-on. I know it's wishfull thinking, but it would make sense that they publish a mostly themeing expansion, then a mostly ride or scn pack. Let's hope it's door #1

intamin wood coaster? why not just use a wooden coaster and say it's an intamin woodie?
