RCT2 - Trick to get extra money

Running short on cash in your RCT2 park? Try this out:

Open any scenario that uses money (i.e. Dusty Greens)

Find three flat, clear squares.

On one square build 4 of the square pink "base blocks" from the scenry menu. (Walls and Roofs I think)

In the space next to it, build 7 stacked "base blocks"

In the third square in a row build 4 "base blocks"

By now you should have something that looks like an olympic medal podium, and it has cost you $300 to build it. (15 "base blocks" at $20 each)

Open the New Rides menu, and select the Swinging Pirate Ship

Place the Pirate ship on the medal podium you just built, do not hold down shift, and you should see the game superimpose the ghost image of the pirate ship over the base blocks. Look at the ride construction menu, it says the Ship is going to cost $-738 to build.

That's right RCT2 is going to payYOU $738 to build that ship there. Of course the game also swipes your $300 worth of "base blocks", but that still leaves you a profit of $438

Now, buld the entrance and exit, then go and click the "Demolish Ride" button and click the "Yes" button. You will now see the game give you $387 in exchange for the Pirate Ship

Total profit so far $825, and the land is exactly how you left it, so you do this countless times (as long as you don't mind menial labor)

Bug, Feature, Easter Egg? You be the judge?

(Thanks go to "Vulcan91" on IRC last night who shared that trick with me)

My page

Wow, that's really odd. I got the game to pay me almost $4000 to build a single merry-go-round.

Remember kids, you're only cheating yourself.

LOL. I thought you were going to give me a code or something. Well, this'll work.

You can get loads of money by building 4x4x8 blocks, then putting an Enterprise over the top of it. The only thing I know is, as soon as the new patch comes out, I will not be applying it. I love this bug! :)

You know that when they release the patch they are going to put something in there that will make you wish you applied it. I enjoy the money bug..It saved me 4 times already

RCT2 - The craze is reborn!

This is great, no more leaving the game on for hours to get money for me.

If you build the blocks as high as possible and then buid a swinging inverter ship on it. You will get somewhere around $5000

My trick for extra money is to build a simple 29-45 foot tall coaster with good capacity by the front gate when I first open a park and charge $8 a ride.

Here is a neat trick i found out, using this same concept.....

Using 3 blank spots: on one spot, pile the base blocks as high as you can get them. on the other 2, just add 1 block on each square. then, go into the gentle rides, and select the observation tower. if you place it just right, so that the tower section is right inside your base block tower, then you should gain in the hundreds. BUT, here is the catch ;-) for each tower section you build, you gain another 250$ or so :-)

thats an easy way to gain thousands quickly.
