RCT site closures - CoasterBuzz

Is it just me, or in the past month or so have there been a lot of RCT sites closing. RCTCA has announced it is closing, and www.rct-central.com announced it might be closing. There have been numerous other sites closing, is it just me or is RCT loosing it's edge? I sure hope not!

Perhaps it's because the game has very nearly run its course.

I think that a lot of the people that have been doing the "major" sites all of these years have tired with the game and continuing to spend their time on a website for a game they are tired of. I also believe that there will be some other sites taking over the role that these other sites have. Maybe not as many sites will be there in the future, the game has been out for quite a few years now, but a fair number to keep resources out there for all the active players of the game. BTW RubberDucky I just looked at your site today. Nice start. Maybe you will command the next biggest site for RCT.

Anyone know when RCT Station is coming back? That site really rocks!

Thanks Kick the Sky for the comments on my site, but if RCT-Central closes so will I because it is my host.

I sure hope that RCT Gold is something good and I hope it gives some RCT-Webmasters some motivation to keep their sites up.

With RCT Station, they had found a host a week ago, and started transfering the site, but some how lost it all. www.tycoonplanet.com has more details. I sure miss RCT Station.

We're fine here at RCT Station. In fact, Mike, Rob, and I are supposed to be spreading the word that the new forums are now up, CLICK HERE to go to the site. We have and have had a host for quite some time. Ogre just decided to transfer the network without teling Red basically so they would have more to expand with. RCT Station isn't going anywhere for quite some time. Stay tune for Ogreworld 7, Steve Franks major exspansions, and the RCT Masters big project. These should all be coming within the new opening.

As for the topic, the reason for the closure of sites is more about the people than what is or isn't left of RCT. If it were all about what is left in RCT, RCT Station would have shut down months ago.
