RCT Official Site

What is wrong with this site? It is never updated. Why? And why is the ride exchange still down? And the rebate, expired two months ago. Doesn't this just make you want to kill Chris Sawyer if it wasn't a good game? And another thing, he must be afraid of us. At his website, chris-sawyer.com or something, he has no way to contact him! It reminds me of some other big websites, like Xoom and Yahoo, where everyone knows about them, but you cannot talk to anyone that works there. I say we should all boycott RollercoasterTycoon.com! Now, who is with me?

I agree the site is absolutely worthless. I would be more irked if there weren't so many other RCT sites. I think the reason for not being able to contact Sawyer may be that people who think they know more about this game than he does are constantly suggesting improvements and submitting their "wish lists." Can't say I blame him.

All I have to say is, he needs to make a second game, something where the tracks , like, you can make them any way, so they would look like a real creation of a ride..

I remember reading one of the features that stated that they were in the process of moving the website's physical location from Britain to the US and that it would be down for quite some time. I don't think they meant this long, however, and I agree that this is getting ridiculous. As for not being able to contact him, that's perfectly understandable: can you imagine the amount of email he would get, just people saying that it's a great game? Not to mention the suggestions (many of which he may already know and have rejected because he knows what it would take to program), requests for new rides/layouts/parks, etc. That alone would crash the system!

As for boycotting the site... Why go anyway when it isn't updated? I check only about once every 6 weeks or so, and don't go back anyway.

OKay before you go and blame the creator, listen. The website is maintained by Hasbro. Blame them if it isn't updated. Why don't you check out Chris Sawyer's site. He even has something to say about it. www.chrissawyer.com

I've check out the Chris Sawyer website, and he does say something about the RCT website. Also, I found he updates that more than Hasbro updates RCT's site. Under downloads, he has wooden wild mouse coasters and steel twisters!

Hey do you guys know what, ride exchange will be up and running soon! I've been seeing that for 5 months.

LOL!!! i have not been there in years. I can't believe the ride exchange is still down. About the only thing that place is good for is official patches.
