RCT multiplayer

I was just thinking about mulitplayer games for online play for some reason. I just came up with a great idea for RCT mulitplayer.

Instead of having to build a park you need to build a coaster. The only thing is you only get a set time to do it. 5, 10, or 15 minutes. Then the ride tests. Who ever has the most exciting rideable coaster wins. To make it fair only the same ride types would compete with each other. After the match you can check out the other peoples creations.

I think it would be pretty cool anyway.

It would be kinda cool, but we all know who would dominate: Lord Gonchar :)

You could still play the game that way. Just create a scenario with the appropriate ride and whatever scenery you want then share it everyone who will be playing. Everyone will start at the same time, then play for a set time. Then everyone will stop and the rides are tested. Remember that having an intensity over 10 automatically comes with a built in penalty for the excitement rating.

I've also put a lot thought into a multiplayer RCT. I was taking some ideas from Theme Hospital's multiplayer version. You could send saboteurs into your enemy's park and have them break their rides and cause accidents lowering their park rating. You can also recruit their workers and fight over the land that needs to be bought. The possibilities are nearly endless, and could be quite fun. (Incidentally, if your only experience with a Bullfrog game is Theme Park then you need to try Theme Hospital or Dungeon Keeper as they were far better than their lousy park simulator.)

What about a rct mmorpg? You have people that design coasters and sell them the park runner's etc. Course everyone could do everything but make it like the real world.
I would like to be able to team up with people online and build a park together. You would collect the money you earned on the rides you built. It would be difficult, because two people could be planning to use a certain space at the same time... but the first person to slap his ride down would win.

There could be other cool aspects. Maybe you could trade ride options with others for money (like if someone wanted to build a B&M but didn't yet have that option, because they didn't have any money going to research, then you could sell them your rights to build that ride). Or, you could sell an underperforming ride to someone, and maybe they could spend a few bucks to spruce it up and try to attract more riders.

So many possibilities.

Yeah, but you can already set up most of the challenges mentioned here on your own.

Make a scenario with the coaster and scenery type you want for the competition. Pick a time (in game time - say by June 30th of year one).

You have to save your game on or before that day to qualify. Highest excitement with intensity under 10 wins.

You could set your own rules based on whatever you like. There's millions of possibilities.
