RCT HELP!!!!!

HELP!!! I can't load rct. When I click it, the black screen of rct pops up like usual...but than a little error window pops up and says: error location unknown. than RCT crashes. What is wrong????

You probably need to download a patch to fix this problem (it happened to me).  Go to http://www.rollercoastertycoon.com/test/index2.html, click on "downloads", and you'll find a link to the "patches/bug fixes" page, where you'll need to download the patch for the game version you're running.  After you've ran the patching program, try it again...hopefully it runs for ya'.

I had that problem when i first got RCT...it had something to do w/my video card driver. once i downloaded the update from my card manufacturer it worked fine.
