RCT beginner
As you can guess from the title of this topic I am new to RCT. I see you talking about trainers and things like that...what are they? Do you play the game as a game to win or just to create parks? I have RCT and the expansion pack with loopy landscapes and corkscrew follies. I have XP operating system also ( I thought I would through that in since some people it seems has had trouble with this operating system.) Any one who could help me and give me tips please reply. Thank you in advance!

If you do a clean install of RCT and patch it with the latest official patch, you should have no problems on XP.
As for tips... stay away from trainers. Until you are done playing the game and want a sandbox, you don't need trainers. They often mess up people's games, and just screw around with everything. Play the origninal scenarios first, not CF or LL's, those are much harder. I also think you should know one of the golden rules, with the exception of exit paths, do not ever make a path that leads to a dead end, always make paths loop back to itself. It reduces the number of lost peeps by a million (well, not really that many.)
Ok Sarah first I cant help you with win xp
Trainers are basically programs/utilities that let you change things about the game(own all land, flatten it ,have all rides without waiting for research, more money,change trains on coasters, remove all trees, and many more features depending on which trainer you get)
To use trainers and to access most mega parks you see on the net you will need the drexler patch this is found at rctstation(as are the trainers) you may also need the official patch found at the official rct site (install this BEFORE you install the drexler patch)
I generally build mega/fantasy parks but will occasionally try a senario
By the way I use the dragonsioa trainer version 5 but I'm sure others will recomemend other trainers too

Best advice I can give you, is to have fun with the regular game before trying trainers. Some scenarios in loopy landscapes, such as Arid Heights, are almost like a sandbox, and trainers always have risks of crashing your game, or adding to your possible XP problems.

Hey Thanks you guys! I had played RCT about 6 months ago but didn't really get into it...but when I started playing again about 3 days ago I really got into and got addicted fast. So I deleted all the saved parks and started over with the game. I think I will take your advise and just play hte game as it is for now...and then maybe get into trainers later.
