RCT announcement???

I thought there was supposed to be an announment on the 19th? What happened?

Is this an announcement about a new expansion pack or something else?  I hope they make it more detailed.  I don't really care about the 3D thing, I think that would take away from the games original state.  I just want things like off seasons, certain ride companys like arrow or intamin rather than steel corkscrew or wooden, and a way that you see a construction crew come in and actualy build the rides after you design them. 

There never was any plans for any announcement. All that was just speculation and rumors that got started originally on the Danimation forums...

There is a sequal. It may be in the works... but when or if it'll ever be released, that has not been leaked out, so honestly... nobody knows except Activision (I think that's who publishes it) and/or Chris Sawyer.

Ok, what's new for 2003?? I can't wait!!...

There will one day be a roller coaster game that will blow our minds and have us playing at every chance just like RCT did, but it will be better.

Currently Chris Sawyer is working on a game know call like street tycoon or something like that. I can't remeber the name but I was impressed with the screenshots I saw. It looked very realistic. There will not be another expansion pack. If he does anything else with rollercoaster tycoon it will be  a whole new game

Umm, Chris Sawyer's projects seem to be kept secret until practically release day. You sure this "Street Tycoon" isn't just another halfbaked Tycoon-stamped game by some horrible European publisher? (I say European because unless it comes out of the US or Chris Sawyer himself, it generally sucks.)

I was really hoping for another expansion pack. Where are all the rides? There are hundreds that could have been added and everyone would have bought it. I hope we see all the flat rides on a new game.

I can't find the link to the site because it was a link through like four different websites , I will keep searching though, but from what I could tell it was the real mycoy.. It had a release  date or something like that. The graphics were pretty impressive. The style of inferace looked  somewhat like rollercoaster tycoon but at the bottom with sort of a spilt screen. I can't remember the details of the game because it was a couple of weeks ago that I saw it but it just had some awesome graphics and the such. It could be  a european pass over and I understand why you say that but I think this is the real deal. If it is I know I will buy that game!!!!!!!

For them to get Intamin and Bolliger and Mabillard in the game, They would have to give licensing agreementnt to use their names right. 
I just want an RCT with new types of elements (like a real Diveloop and a TopHat, oh and Diaginal loops), 4D's, and other coasters.

They don't have to give the real names, they could just do it the same as they have in the original RCT...although I don't see why not, it would educate the consumer on different companies names, and they would be getting free advertising.

In RCT2, I'd want a much larger map, all the up to date rides and coasters, and patient/ un-picky guests.

hey nitro230  I thought I was the only one  who wanted a realistic dive loop  (all we need is a large half corkscrew option combined with large half loop we already have) I refuse to build B and M coaster that have dive loops  the way other do(incline  small half corkscrew large half loop)because the just look bad   the closest I build is immelman  type loops   I also agree about the tophats and inclined loops
