RCT 3 Water Rides??

I've noticed in all of the screens we have recieved for RCT 3, not one has a water ride. I know they stated that not all of the rides from the past versions of RCT are going to make it into the final release of RCT 3, but they have to add the water rides. I'm very excited to see what changes they've made to the new river rapids.
They don't have to do anything. I rarely use water rides, I don't really like them that much. Especially the Dinghy Slide. Dinghy Slide? What the heck? ;)

I've often wondered from time to time, how to write good poetry- and make it all... Work.
I never use the Dinghy Slide either... really the only thing I use is the Log Flume and the River Rapids.

Can't forget the Waterfall Ride (or Splash Boats-the weird name they came up with).

Pardon our dust...Signature is building for your future enjoyment!

Although the water rides are not the most exciting part of the game I do think they need to be included. I think things like the rapids are great for Jurassic themes. I hope they include a lot of water rides. I do agree however that the Dinghy Slides are pathetic. They should make it so it is more like a water park slide where you climb stairs to the top and then slide down. Then you could build smaller slides that didn't take up as much room and didn't look as stupid.

The Only Thing Worst Then Dieing, Is Living And Having Nothing Worth Dieing For.
I allways have to include a water coaster (usually on a mountain :)) in my park.

I also feel that the water rides (minus the water slide, this isnt Water Slide Tycoon, allthough that would be a great spin off) are a "required ride" along with the Ferris Wheel and Merry-Go-Round.

Oh... They HAVE to include waterrides, they BETTER include waterrides or they're going to have a giant foot up their ass for forgetting one of the most important aspects of a theme-park.

First of all... water rides such as the Shoot-the-Chutes, log ride, & river rapids always had a great lines in the old RCT's. They were popular the longest & if you themed the rides, your excitement rating could be so high with such a low nausea/intensity rating. So it made for an important addition to the RCT experience.

Second of all... duhh... name me one major theme park without one of those 3 water rides? If one is to do a re-creation of their favorite park (as they've stated over & over, which is why they're offering more freedom & more realism), how can you create any theme park w/out their signature water-ride?

Basically... it'll be in there, Its an almost gimmie. It's not like they showed all the rides on all the previews/screens given thus far. You see any of the drop towers yet? 3D cinemas? Haunted houses? Hedge mazes? Merry-go-Round? Flying coasters? I didn't think so... they'll be there!

Odd, next to the Splash Boats, the Slide is the water ride I use most. Peeps eat it up.

If you're worried about realism, just don't let the peeps ride the lift and use it to transport the rafts back to the top of the slide by doing a dual station with the exit at the bottom of the lift and the entrance at the top. Then it becomes just like their real life counterparts.

Funny, that's what I do, too. It helps in cycling people in and out, too. They don't have to wait for an unload to get in.

On second thought, that's not really funny.

Hi

Look at how complicated the water rendering is in the RCT3 screenshots. I'm sure they will include the usual water rides, but I imagine that they are still working on them, or were at the time of the screenshots. It would look ridiculous if the water in the water rides looked different than the environmental water, so it must be a big challenge.

Because the peeps are supposed to be so interactive with the environment, I wouldn't be surprised at all if there was some kind of "splashed" animation performed by peeps walking or standing over, say a path at the base of a log flume...

Also, I'm pretty sure that I've seen a waterslide somewhere in the screens that have been released, which happens to be the one water ride that doesn't technically seem to have any water in it....
