Is it just me or is anyone else having a hard time with RCT3. I can never keep my peeps happy and they never want to ride any rides, well big ones at least. I'll have lines out this world for stuff like a slide, or a trampoline ride, but no one ever wants to ride my rollercoasters. And they all have good ratings and there not to expensive. I had a coaster that was like a 7 in excitement and $3 and no one still rode it. And then they all stay in the same little spot in the park. I get a a few stranglers that venture off and explore other parts of the park, but most of all they stay right in the front and only ride the thrill rides. Could someone please tell me if I'm doing something wrong.
I don't have it. However to answer your movement problem if you have all the rides they like they will keep riding those rides forever and won't leave. The people are stupid and there is no such thing as getting tired of a ride. If they like it they will never stop. You have to spread your rides out.
Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.

-Jim, sorry - couldn't resist ;)
For as nuts is this is going to sound, charge more for your coasters. I had the same problem: charge 3 bucks, no one rides. then i found: Charge 7 bucks and they line up like mad...
My sig says it all...

Did you update RCT3 with patch update#1 becuase i had no problems at all, althouh i mastered rct1 and rct2, and rct3 isn't much harder, although thats me, and i know how to keep everone happy, everyone rode my rides after i installed the patch! just a curiosity!
Oh, Jim. You're just mad that nobody is choking you.;)
LOL Clint - you have no idea how much it takes to choke me fella ;)

Where can I get the patch from?
Or just use the 'Check For Updates' on the autorun screen, or also in Start-->Programs-->Atari-->Roller Coaster Tycoon 3-->Check For Updates
"Life's What You Make It, So Let's Make It Rock!"
I dont realy think its hard. I find that some of the scenerios are quite easy. I have accomplished five tycoons already. Also when you built rollercoasters I noticed if you charge the coasters $2.00 no one will ride them but when you bump the price all the way up to $7.00 a ticket they will fill in line like crazy. So far the only downfall I think when it comes to using the sandbox mode or scenerio editor when you build so many rides and attractions I noticed the game tends crash and goes back to my desktop at least on my computer I dont know about anyone else? I have all the requirements maybe the new patch will help. *** Edited 12/24/2004 7:28:31 PM UTC by The Beast*** *** Edited 12/25/2004 5:29:36 AM UTC by The Beast***
I agree with The Beast. Game is very easy, and AI is incredibly stupid. Game is no more then a park designer, and defnitely not a sim management game. I have a hard time having fun with it, because the computer AI is dumb, there is no strategy to the game, and there are way too many annoyances. *** Edited 12/25/2004 5:01:38 AM UTC by Dan D McD***
True, the game is easy when it runs.
Dan's right about it being primarily a park designer.
When the expansions come out, they'll probibly be ridiculously hard.
