RCT 2 "New" Rides

I thought I once overheared a few of you in here talking about a guy who runs a website where he creates rides for RCT 2 in a previouse post.... Does this stie still exist? If so where can I find it? I would like more flat-rides in RCT 2 than they include in the game...

There's a lot of new stuff on his site since the last time I was there. I also really like his idea for the navigation.

I know, I've downloaded everything he's got, lol. I love his new stuff. I just don't know how he does it. I did notice there are quite somet hat just look like they have been rethemed but used a smimilar ride to make the real rides.

What are some other good sites to get some objects. I was looking for a table with an umbrella with chairs and some cola machines that I know I've saw before.

I remember that...was that amazing earl or was that something else? I could of swore amazin earl had those stored somewhere on that site of his...I remember getting them at one point...its been too long for me to remember.

Wow. That stuff is awesome. I might start playing Roller Coaster Tycoon again....

*How do you actually get the downloaded rides to appear in the game? This is probably a stupid question, but I downloaded them and I cant get them to actually "go" into the game.

If memory serves right, I think you must take the downloaded ride files and insert them into the games ride files. I think you simply click and drag the file to the rides portion of the games setup. This has re-sparked an interest for me also seeing this site a few days ago.

*PLUG* There is scenery and rides from amazing earl in my Green Garden Valley saved game in CBgames, so the scenery and rides will instantly go into your game upon opening the scenerio.

DETAILED INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Scenery Objects and REAL Rides are installed in exactly the same way.

1) Click on the link to download the file...or right-click and select "Save As." REMEMBER THE LOCATION WHERE YOU SAVED THE FILE! You'll need to find it later.

2) Locate the file you downloaded. It will be a .dat file or a .zip file. If it is a .dat file, skip to step 4.

3) WinZip is required to open .zip files. It is a compression program that bundles files together and makes them smaller for download. I believe it is pre-installed with Windows XP. To get the latest version of this FREE program, visit THEIR WEBSITE.

Double-click on the .zip file you downloaded from this site and the WinZip window should appear. Follow the on-screen instructions to "extract" the files. If you're unfamiliar with WinZip, check the "Show Extracted Files" box when it asks.

4) You DO NOT need to double-click on the .dat files to install them...it most likely won't do anything anyway except confuse your computer. Copy, Cut-and-Paste or otherwise move the extracted .dat files to this folder on your computer:
c:\ProgramFiles\InfogramesInteractive\RollerCoasterTycoon2\ObjData

-- or if you are playing the "Triple Thrill Pack" copy it into the folder --

c:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 Triple Thrill Pack\ObjData\

That's it! You're done!

NOTE: The new Rides/scenery will NOT appear automatically in the game. You need to include them in a new scenario. Use the Scenario Editor (the little toolbox thingy in the game's main window) to create a scenario that includes the rides and scenery you want. If you've never used the Scenario Editor, you may need to consult the documentation that came with your game.

Now, to use these some need to be added in a custom scenario to add the new rides and some will already be there.

OK, Thanks alot! I haven't used them in a scenario yet, but I am hoping to do that today. Looks like they add alot of fun to the game.

He has been doing Disney rides lately.....jungle cruise, haunted mansion, alice in wonderland, splash mountain, matterhorn, teacups, peter pan flying boats.....

If you like Disney, check www.rtcmart.com You have to register, but under the Disney forums in Fantasyland there is a TON of new scenery. Much more than you can ever use at one time because of the game limits. Its good quality stuff too.
