RCDB got a face lift.

Its so Purdy:)
Ooh! Purdy!

I wonder if that's a complete re-code of the site of if it's just a new style.

I like that it's all fresh and new, yet true to the traditions of RCDB's simplistic layout.

Heh. It does look nice.

I imagine it's not a re-code. I do know for a fact that the new look was done almost 4 months ago. :)

The language selector really makes it a global resource now.

Duane kicks ass. Now if he'd just get a description up for Coasterimage...

I am assuming its mostly the same code as the layout hasnt changed, only the "css".
It's nice that you can now pick a country and then see only the states for that country.
I dunno, i liked the old one...just used to it i guess...

Is this update only for people who have paid the 20 bucks? I don't notice anything different.

Down is the new up.
Word,

????????????????????????????

What are you talking about, RCDB is a free site and always has been. Has nothing to do with Coasterbuzz.

Just a couple of G-Force junkies!

It's not free, everyone knows you have to do the $50 add on for RCDB...
Hmm, I'm pretty indifferent to the new look...it's not really better, just different. I mean, there are a few nice new features, and the site has a generally "cleaner" look, but it's not all that much better.

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

tekno, that was hilarious.

Sorry, I was thinking Coasterbuzz when RCDB was said. My bad.

Down is the new up.
Yeah, cause RCDB sounds just like Coasterbuzz when read...*rolls eyes*
lol. Wait...who pays for what now on coasterbuzz? now lost...me.

To become a "full" member of CBuzz, and get ad free viewing and entrance to a few enthusiest events, you have to pay 20 bucks. I made the mistake of confusing the always free roller coaster data base with CBuzz, and Tekno jumped all over it with eye rolling and such. It was hilarious.

;) :) :(

ziggy:

Word came in(as usual, because he saw my name) and said something without thinking. When he realized that he didn't know what he was talking about, he made a poor excuse and tried to make it look like RCDB and Coasterbuzz are somehow similar when read, or something, I have no idea.

The truth is www.rcdb.com also knowns as the Roller Coaster Data Base, got a slightly newer, more polished look, and I was just giving everyone a heads up about it. No one has to pay anything to see RCDB, or, for that matter, the coaster listings on CB.

Both the coaster listings on Coasterbuzz and RCDB are great for finding pix and stats of coasters. Neither cost, both are great tools, and both are in my favorites.

Can anybody tell me if they still have the parks nearby feature on the site? I don't seem to see it anymore.
they still have the nearby parks option.

When you look down the park page you'll notice it below "Status" and above "see also". There is the option to see "existing" parks nearby, "Defunct" parks nearby, and of course "All" parks nearby.

I'm still depating whether or not I like it. It looks cleaner and slicker, but without table borders or some way to divide the data, it's kindof hard to view at a glance.

Well duh, there it is ;) All I needed was a second pair of eyes. I guess I was so used to the old design, that mine went right over it. Thanks for the help.
RCDB is down.
