3.5/10 for me
I think it's a pretty good game, there are some bugs which are a pain, but my main problem is having it run smoothly. It's very detailed and the gameplay for the most part is good.
I mean we got most of the stuff we wanted, we got are rocket coaster, well limited rocket coaster, as well as a ton of flats. Over all I think it was a good game. I'd give it 8.5/10 too, mainly taking off for the bugs and it's stability.
I love the music they put in the game, espically "Summer Air."
Did you honestly spend at least 6 to 10 hours of play time to give it a real rating? Can you look beyond the few bugs which although quite numerous, shouldn't really hamper gameplay TOO much. I can't give it a rating since I only played the 60min full version just to give it a whirl... but early indications put it around the 7 point marker... taking off points for the initial bugs, and a few missing or wrong real-world counterpart things... but on the overall, it wouldn't really deterr me from not wanting to play it.
I'd give a real rating once I get my hands on a copy & play-test it thourally.
Once a patch is released, and is verified many of the biggest bugs and crashes are fixed, then my opinion may change. Until then, I don't reccomend the game to anyone just yet.

aaah, surely that makes up for the fact that the coasters don't work properly.
The game isn't' nearly finished, if you think that the game as it satnds deserves an 8 or higher you are very strange.
It's the Tetris vs Rise of the Robots debate again. If anyone remmebers what i'm on about.
Why?
and
The game is nearly unplayable at this point.
If we get most of those bugs worked out - this will be one of the coolest, funnest, most time stealing games there is.
Until then, it's a joke. With the game the way it is, the release date should've been April 1st.
The reason I'm not rating it a 5 is because 5 is average. Average, in this case, should mean a game that is finished, moderately fun to play, and average means everything should be atleast as good as what is getting rated a 5. Nothing should be released like this, so it gets no 5 from me.
It gets a 3 because it has a coaster designer(the only feature I've used thus far...), and because it looks pretty. If it had more coasters and more coaster options (regular hills on a TA2K...), it would have been a 4, but never a 5.
If a patch comes out that makes it all work the way it should, and add all the stuff removed from RCT1/RCT2, while giving us all the things promised (like 2D mode!), I'll give it maybe a 5. If they add more than 4 new coaster types on a game called ROLLER COASTER TYCOON, as well as more coaster elements on all coasters, I'll rate it appropriatly. Until the game is finished and plays the way it should, I'm not going to be happy

If I had to rate the game I'd give it an 8. Just because it has all the things we've been crabbin' about for so long. Yeah some of them don't work right we know. I'm willing to bet that Atari will put out some kind of patch for it to help out some of the more serious problems. But then again, what do I know? I've got bigger things to worry about in my life than whether this game locks up or slows its frame rate down. (I'm not knocking anybody that plays the game allot, so please don't take that last statement that way!)
